On-Q is the way to go. I find the pre-made home theater setups harder to wire and hard to fit into a wall plate.

Flexible system

I have been using On-Q's system for years. Simple to make a change in your A/V, Audio, Ethernet, TV-Radio Antenna connections at a future date. For instance, if you have a 4 position wall plate with 4 of these Binding Posts and needed to add an Ethernet Jack to or from a router or switch. Just replace the wall plate with a 6 position plate and add the Ethernet Jack and or a Coax Jack for a Subwoofer or Antenna. Also easy to rewire the back of the binding post if you should move your speakers and need a longer wire run. I have installed multiple wall plates in 3 rooms for Audio, Antenna feeds and CAT5.
Pros: Flexible system with many options. Quality build with good fit and finish. Reasonable price.

Bought 1 pair of the On-Q Speaker Binding Posts (black) and the On-Q Single-Gang Wall Plate (White) (4-Port), installed them in a shallow surface mount electrical box, they were perfect. Painted the wall plate black (Rustoleum Universal Advanced Paint and Primer Flat Black) to match the Binding Posts. Cosmetically it looks fantastic, the quality of the Binding Posts and the Wall Plate is excellent and very heavy duty, expect them to last for many years. The gold binding posts against the flat black really looks great.
Pros: Superior Quality, Easy Installation (even in shallow connection boxes), easy customization of installation to meet your technical and cosmetic requirements
Cons: None except for lack of availability of a black face plate.

They do the job but are somewhat cheaply made. They fit in the wall plate OK but again they are not tight fitting so the look is so so. I would say if this is for a garage or basement system then the price is right but if you want something that looks and acts like high quality for a living room system, for example, then look elsewhere.
