First I run 7.2.4 separates. I had gone to a former Magnolia sound room in our local BestBuy. My intention was to get a Bowers & Wilkins 703 S3 center. While I was there I also wanted to hear a MartinLogan ESL C center. Left went home to think about it one last time. Before I made my final decision I decided to go to a second Magnolia/BestBuy where they had mostly the Dymension Series speakers setup. I was blown away by the DM30 so much so I bought it and two DM60s to replace my surround backs. Eventually I will replace my L/R with DM70s. Anyway the whole reason I upgraded was I wanted clearer more defined dialog and if I could also add a fuller sound and increase the overall immersion, win, win, win. The DM30 was the best I heard. I have not even re-calibrated yet and I am blown away. The dialog is super clear even with the additional woofers. The woofers in the DM30 just complete the sense of immersion in your room. Each one of us has our on version of sound we are looking for, but I will say this if you decide to go with the Dymension Series of speakers (highlighting this center), you will be 100% satisfied, I have zero doubt. I highly recommend this speaker and the entire Dymension Speaker Series.

I love Def Tech powered speakers, but I had to get this huge center speaker. This speaker is amazing and worth every penny. My girlfriend loves to watch movies and turn up the volume like we're in the movies. You cant go wrong with this purchase.
Pros: Everything about this speaker is a PRO.
Cons: The size of this speaker enormous, you need to have something that can accommodate the size and weight.

Great Upgrade

Clear onscreen dialogue. Really brings out center channel sound effects. Incredible bass. I purchased the Def Tech CS8080HD as part of my BP8080ST surround sound setup a few years back. Somehow that CS8080HD went out on me a few weeks ago ( the bp8080st's are still working and now serve as my rear surrounds because i purchased the 9080x just before the DM80's came out). This definitely is an improvement over the CS8080HD. I recently watched the Avatar Way of Water sequel. In the beginning there's a scene with Zoe Saldana's character where she's walking through the forest hunting. She pause to ready her bow and arrow. With my CS8080HD, did not hear that she's taking in a deep breath. I heard that deep breath intake and all the other sounds in the forest with this DM30. I'm going back through my other movies now just to hear them with this new speaker. As a side note: Crutchfield was not kidding when they say this is a large center channel speaker. I put this in the spot where the CS808HD was and although it fits lengthwise, it is deeper (see pic) I would recommend this.
