Fully Balanced, Adjustable Bipolar Array: The Dymension DM70 delivers dynamic, room-filling sound with robust bass by leveraging Definitive Technology's signature fully balanced, adjustable bipolar array. The fully balanced adjustable bipolar array design features drivers on the front and back of the speaker cabinet to direct more sound in more directions than traditional speaker designs for incredible depth-of-field and a truly enveloping listening experience. The bipolar array's spatial effect is adjustable (choose between full bipolar and forward-focused) to optimize for room placement and preference.

• Dual 1" Aluminum Oxide Dome Tweeters: Two 1" aluminum oxide dome tweeters (one on the front and one one on the back of the speaker cabinet) deliver crisp detail for unrivaled nuance and clarity. The rigid, well-damped tweeters provide smooth extended response with crisp transients, exceptional definition, and pinpoint-precise imaging, for incredible clarity and lifelike realism. There is an integrated switch on the back of the speaker for the rear tweeter that can be set to 0dB (full-bipolar) or -6dB (forward-focused) to create a greater spatial effect or a more direct sound.
• Quad 5.25" BDSS Mid-Woofers: There are four of Definitive Technology's Balanced Double Surround System (BDSS) 5.25" mid-woofers that provide a lifelike, natural midrange with pronounced midbass impact. The mid-woofers feature a composite polymer cone that produce superior midrange detail, while the Balanced Double Surround System optimizes woofer excursion for improved low-end midbass performance. An integrated Linear Response Waveguide around each BDSS mid-woofer extends dispersion for exceptional sound everywhere in the room.

Built-In 10" Powered Subwoofer: The DM70 features an integrated 10" powered subwoofer to deliver clean, detailed bass that perfectly blends with mids and highs for a rich, full-range sound. Sophisticated digital processing seamlessly blends subwoofer output with mids and highs to provide powerful deep-bass performance without impacting midrange clarity. A built-in 180W (RMS)/250W (Peak) Class-D amplifier powers the side-firing 10" subwoofer.

• Intelligent Bass Control: Intelligent Bass Control is Definitive Technology offers enhanced bass while maintaining overall mid-range tonal balance. Intelligent Bass Control gives you the ability to modulate deep bass up or down in level (-15dB to +12dB), while simultaneously maintaining optimal mid-range clarity regardless of where the bass control is set. Simply rotate the dial on the back of the speaker to your preferred bass setting and the speaker will do the rest. Definitive Technology recommends starting at the mid-point and then adjust to your preference from there.
• Auto Turn On/Off: The DM70s built-in powered subwoofer and amplifier will automatically turn-on once it's receiving an active speaker-level audio signal from your AV receiver and will automatically turn off/standby after 20 minutes of no active audio signal.

3XR Architecture with Dual Bass Radiators: Introduced in Definitive Technology's Descend Series powered subwoofers, 3XR Architecture combines the built-in 10" powered subwoofer with two side-firing 10" passive bass radiators (one on each side of speaker cabinet) to produce huge, impactful bass that you can hear and feel.

Bass Reflex MDF Cabinet: The DM70 floorstanding loudspeaker's enclosure is constructed from MDF and is wrapped in an acoustically transparent black grille cloth (the grille is not removable). The MDF cabinet features strategically placed bracing to improve imaging while reducing resonance, further reinforcing the speaker's clean and powerful sound. The speaker enclosure is a bass reflex design with rear-firing port that has been acoustically tuned for improved bass response and midrange clarity.

Connectivity: The Definitive Technology DM70 floorstanding loudspeaker features 5-way binding posts to connect to your AV receiver's main front channel speaker outputs and height channel speaker outputs, as well as a proprietary connector that allows the connection of Definitive Technology's DM90 height module (sold separately)

• 5-Way Binding Posts: The Dymension DM70 floorstanding speaker is outfitted with two sets of 5-way binding post terminals to connect bare speaker wire (up to 10AWG), pin-connectors, spade-lugs, and banana plugs (single or dual). One set of terminals (labeled "Speaker Input") is the main channel input to connect to your AV receiver's front channel outputs. The other set of terminals (labeled "Height Input") connects to your AV receiver's height channel outputs when attaching Definitive Technology's DM90 height module (sold separately) to the DM70 floorstanding speaker.
• Optional Height Module Connector: The Definitive Technology Dymension DM90 height module (sold separately) attaches to the top and plugs into the proprietary connector of the DM70 floorstanding speaker to provide upward-firing drivers for overhead effects from Dolby Atmos and DTS:X movie soundtracks. You'll need to remove the top plate from the DM70 speaker to access the proprietary connector. The DM90 height module bounces sound off your ceiling and back toward your listening area to achieve additional audio immersion.

Outrigger Feet: The Definitive Technology DM70 features integrated outrigger feet with the option for foot pads or spikes, so you can safely position the floorstanding speaker on virtually any flooring. The foot pads should be used on hard surface flooring such as hardwood, laminate, vinyl, ceramic, and tile flooring. The spikes should be utilized on carpeted flooring. The foot pads come pre-installed on the bottom of the outrigger feet. The foot pads can be removed and replaced with the carpet spikes (make sure to also remove the washer from the foot pads and install them on the carpet spikes. The foot pads and carpet spikes are both adjustable to accommodate uneven floors. .

Application & Placement Options: The slim profile of the DM70 makes it easy to integrate the floorstanding speaker into virtually any room setting. The Dymension Series DM70 can be used for home theater, stereo music, and gaming applications.

• A pair of DM floorstanding speakers should form an equilateral triangle with your main seated listening position, so the distance from each speaker and the distance from each speaker to the main listening position are the same.
• Start with the speakers placed parallel with your back wall, and experiment with the imaging by increasing the angle ("toe-in") until you find the desired balance of ambiance, direct sound, and stereo soundstage.
• Do not place the speakers any closer than 6" to any wall. If possible, keep the speakers about 2.5' away from the back or side walls. If the reflection of the rear speakers off of the front wall is too strong, try pulling the speakers away from the wall or positioning the rear tweeter switch to forward-focus mode (-6dB).
