    Amplifier & Audio Section

HybridDigital UcD amplifier Technology: Through its HybridDigital UcD output stage, the C 700 V2 integrated amplifier can deliver 80 watts x 2 channels of continuous power and 120 watts x 2 channels of instantaneous power, for effortless reproduction of musical transients. NAD's highly efficient HybridDigital UcD amplifier design is renowned for ultra-low noise and distortion through the entire audio band, regardless of the loudspeaker load (4-ohm or 8-ohm). HybridDigital UcD amplifier technology ensures powerful and clear sound reproduction, catering to both audiophiles and music enthusiasts.

    • Continuous Power: 80 watts x 2 channels into 8-ohm or 100 watts x 2 channels into 4-ohm (both ratings @ 20-20kHz with 0.04% THD) - both channels driven
    • IHF Dynamic Power: 120 watts x 2-channel into 8-ohm or 125 watts x 2 channels into 4-ohm

Note: NAD uses Full Disclosure Power (FDP) which specifies distortion under the most extreme conditions of low impedance loads and frequency extremes, rather than the simple and easy 1kHz at 8 ohms test quoted by many of other manufactures. NAD uses this stricter performance criterion that maintains a specified distortion in 4- or 8-ohm loads and at 20-20kHz frequency range, because it more closely matches the demands of real music and real loudspeakers.

Optional Dirac Live Room Correction: The NAD C 700 V2 integrated streaming amplifier supports advanced room correction capabilities with the purchase of a Dirac Live license. Once purchased and activated, Dirac Live measures the response of your room using a calibrated microphone (sold separately) and Dirac Live app (for Apple iOS and Android OS) for precision-tuned sound with accurate bass and enhanced clarity. The C 700 V2 can store up to five Dirac profiles for different sources or seating arrangements and room conditions.

ESS Sabre ES9028 DAC: With the inclusion of an advanced 32-bit/192kHz ESS Sabre ES9028 DAC (digital-to-analog) converter, the NAD C 700 V2 amplifier promises a refined listening experience characterized by greater precision and depth, sure to delight audiophiles and music enthusiasts alike. It offers Hi-Res audio playback with support of MQA decoding and rendering.

    • Hi-Res Audio: Thanks to its ESS Sabre ES9028 DAC, the NAD C 700 V2 offers support for up to 24-bit/192kHz Hi-Res audio music files that can contain up to 6.5x more data than standard CDs, letting you hear all the detail of your music in superior quality. Supported Hi-Res music files include WAV, FLAC, ALAC, AIFF and WMA-Lossless.
    • MQA (Master Quality Authenticated): Bluesound is the first wireless multiroom audio system to support MQA (Master Quality Authenticated). MQA is a revolutionary end-to-end technology that captures and delivers master quality audio in a file that's small enough to stream or download. Bluesound worked closely with MQA to implement technology inside each Bluesound component to ensure the listener will hear MQA encoded music and streams exactly like the source and the way the artist intended you to hear it when it was approved in the studio.

Compatible Music Files: With full support for Hi-Res audio, you can stream WAV, FLAC, ALAC, AIFF, WMA-Lossless, MQA music files over your home's WiFi network or directly from a connected USB mass storage class device. The NAD C 700 V2 also supports compressed music files such as MP3, AAC, WMA and OGG. The NAD C 700 V2 has been designed to work with today's larger music collections, and has indexed libraries up to 200,000 songs in demonstrated practice (this will depend on the music's metadata & artwork). The C 700 V2 also offers gapless playback by default for all supported file music types.

Compression File Type Sampling Frequency Bit Rate or Bit Depth
    Compressed Lossy MP3 16-48kHz 192-320 kbps
    WMA
    AAC
    OGG
Lossless WMA-Lossless up to 96 kHz up to 24-bit
FLAC 192 kHz up to 24-bit
    ALAC
    MQA
Uncompressed AIFF up 192 kHz up to 24-bit
    WAV

Note: You cannot index or play AAC files with the extension ".m4p". These files were purchased in iTunes prior to 2009 and are subject to copy protection. Apple Consumers with an iTunes Match subscription can delete and re-download these files free of charge from their iTunes Cloud

Wired & Wireless Speaker Setup: In addition to its wired loudspeaker outputs, the C 700 V2 has a mono-RCA subwoofer output for connection of a powered sub and offers wireless surround capability with the addition of a pair of Bluesound speakers (sold separately).

    • Binding Post Terminals: The C 700 V2 integrated amplifier is equipped with four binding post speaker terminals to connect a pair of loudspeakers. The binding post terminals will accept bare wire (up to 12AWG), pin-connectors, spade-lugs, and banana plugs (single only). Plastic inserts will need to be removed from the binding posts to connect banana plugs.
    • Mono-RCA Sub Output: The NAD C 700 V2 integrated amp features a mono-RCA subwoofer output for adding a powered sub. Using the BluOS Controller app, you can set low- and high-pass crossover settings, for a seamless blend between the subwoofer and main speakers.
    • Wireless Surrounds: Through the BluOS Controller app, you can wirelessly connect a pair of Bluesound powered speakers and use them as wireless rear surrounds for up to 4.1ch Dolby Digital Surround when also connecting a powered sub to the integrated amp's mono-RCA sub out.

Stereo RCA Preouts: The NAD C 700 V2 is outfitted with a set of analog stereo RCA preouts that allows connection of a separate power amplifier or receiver, making it possible to use the C 700 V2 as a preamplifier to such components.

Audio Setting: Available audio settings include Volume Limit, Tone Controls, as well as Low Pass and High pass Crossovers. You can set a lower limit and upper limit of the integrated amplifier's volume control. You can also boost or reduce Bass & Treble response levels. In addition, you can adjust the Low Pass Crossover frequency for the unit's sub out, plus set the High Pass Crossover frequency for your connected speakers.

Protection Circuitry: The NAD C 700 V2 will automatically turn off with a "protect message" show on the front-panel display if the integrated amplifier is overheating or if there is a short somewhere along the signal path.
