The little NAD that could
Pat from Illinois on 12/14/2024
I needed a compact (and preferably vertical) amp for my bedroom, and having owned and liked other NAD products, I decided to get this one despite it being more expensive than other options. And I have not been disappointed. the D 3020 is easy to set up and operate, sounds fine, and has plenty of power for my 10x12 foot room. Don't worry about the reviews saying 30 watts per channel is not enough. Unless your space is large or you really like to blast your music this amp will be just fine. It is a bit pricey and I think you are paying for the size/shape and some fancy packaging, but the quality is very good.
Pros: good sound and plenty of power
Cons: a little overpriced

NAD D 3020 V2
Keith from Concord, CA on 8/21/2024
The NAD D 3020 V2 was a solution to a problem. I had a pair of self-powered speakers that did a fine Job of providing audio from my turntable. I like simplicity! The problem was I had two boxes filled with CDs that had been gathering dust for about 10 years. I had no desire to purchase a bulky hi-fi system with its added complexity and price. The NAD is small but fits right in to the space next to the CD player. It provides input for the turntable the CD player and another device if I wanted to use it. It also has Bluetooth, which is great. The 30 W per channel power output is more than enough to fill the room. I'm very pleased with it and also pleased with Crutchfield and their support team.
Pros: Compact, powerful
Cons: None

Big Things in a Small Package
Bill from HENRICO, VA on 7/15/2024
I use this for my PC set-up. Sound is outstanding with both CDs and online music. Way more power than I ever use. 30wpc is a lot more than most people need. I use highly efficient Klipsch bookshelf speakers RB-61-II. Any of the Klipsch high efficiency bookshelf speakers will pair nicely with this amp. I also like its' headphone output for night listening. This amp would also sound great in a bedroom kit. After many years of operation and no problems, I can highly recommend!!
Pros: Easy to fit under my low PC monitor stand. More power than I need. Converts sound from YouTube music videos into clean output. Great w/ my Emotiva small sub and Klipsch RB-61-II speakers.
Cons: Sometimes when I slide my finger over the power button it fails to turn on. But the sensor always powers up within a minute. Not a deal-breaker.

Good but not great
Crutchfield customer from SAN RAMON, CA on 2/29/2024
I needed a compact integrated amplifier for the bedroom after the previous TEAC died. The TEAC was a typical zippy-sounding Japanese integrated amp and I was hoping to get a better sounding replacement at a sub-$1000 price that would fit in the space. I've been a loyal customer of NAD since the '00s (T751, C720BEE, T747). I wanted to love this amplifier, but I can't. For lack of a better term it sounds "crispy" like my T747--a hard edge to the sound that gets fatiguing over time. It seems like it has been optimized for compressed digital sources, because there appears to be a pronounced hump in frequency response to bring vocals, guitar, tenor sax forward in the mix. With an analog input of classical music, the sound seems off for a full orchestra. The lack of tone controls means you're stuck with the designer's aesthetic preference. There is a bass boost button on the remote, but it seems to just be for making your hip hop thump. If only NAD made a more compact unit that sounded like my beloved C720.
Pros: Compact Simplicity
Cons: Dependent on a remote No indication it is working while booting up

NAD D 3020 V2

I do not understand how this integrated has a best of 2024 designation. After my trusty C325BEE broke down, I ordered the D3020 v2. Had to return the first one because it would not start. It would begin the initiation phase, flash three times and automatically turn off. I returned the amp and received a replecement which worked fine until october. The last two months the new amp has been plagued with the initiation syndrome: flash three times and automatically turn off. To start it I have to unplug the power chord, unplug all the interconnects and speaker cables, reconnect everything, push the power button and hope it will turn on. Extremely dissapointed with this NAD. Would not recommend.

Death by 5 cuts
Matthew from BELLINGHAM, WA on 10/16/2023
Sound is great for a compact amp with bookshelf speakers, and the simple design looks nice on one, but using this thing is terrible. There are no physical buttons, the touchscreen controls aren't responsive, and the piano-black finish looks a bit cheap and gets smudged if you look at it wrong. Bluetooth seems to cut out over short distances and to top it all off, the remote us frustratingly weak and sometimes has trouble functioning at point-blank range with a fresh battery.
Pros: Design, sound quality
Cons: Poor usability, awful remote control

A sane remote away from perfect
Luke from PORTLAND, OR on 7/16/2023
Can happily drive entry-level speakers. Most people have covered the NAD's performance, I'll cover the fringe items. The bass boost button misses floorstandings completely and doesn't do great with midsized bookshelf speakers. As it is, the EQ picks up a bit too much of my Klipsch R-51M's viable low-end, though is still mostly controlled. This "EQ" is fun but should be revised to allow loading custom EQ settings in via USB flash drive (akin to its firmware updates). Updated firmware allows disabling the flaky Bluetooth, though the biggest problem with BT isn't performance. Since NAD is too cheap to do different remotes for its different amps, it's not immediately obvious that it's possible to unpair the previous Bluetooth device from the D 3020 V2's perspective. Holding down the Play button for 3 seconds unpairs the device, and from an unpaired state, the device works with any laptop/desktop using Intel's AX211 (including Alternate A2DP support), most new iPhones (though no AAC support, yuck) and a few other miscellaneous devices I have on hand. But you have to manually unpair, which is annoying. Looking for this Bluetooth functionality in the manual reveals things that literally no one has covered: this device has a TV mode, which supports both remote programming and SPDIF-sensing power on. I've used this device exclusively as a desktop system, but can confirm that it enters the programming mode as the manual describes. Will update on its perform
Pros: 30W/channel is misleadingly low in direct spec sheet comparisons. Lots of connectivity, all of which are pleasant.
Cons: Would have preferred USB instead of a phono preamp. Bass boost eq is inflexible. Remote is missing a dedicated Bluetooth button. TV mode literature is buried.

Ben from SAINT LOUIS, MO on 4/29/2023
Sound quality is good. Form factor is nice. Using this thing sucks. I don't like the capacitive buttons. The led indicators on the front have inconstant brightness. THE BLUETOOTH SUCKS. Why have this feature if it's terrible, not cool NAD. My phone can be 6ft away line of sight, and it still constantly skips. I'm finding out about this over a year into owning the product so I guess I'm just gonna have to make do...

NAD D 3020 V2
Todd from SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ on 8/20/2022
Bought this for our son mainly due to the size and the space he had in his room for an amp for his turntable. I've owned NAD amps in the past and always been pleased with them. This one is no different. He also loves that he can connect his Nintendo Switch to it and pay the audio through his speakers. A good mix of old and new tech. We're both very happy with it. This would fit perfectly in an office set up.

Nice, but not enough at this price
Yong from BEND, OR on 2/12/2022
I have always loved NAD products. Decided to try this, compared to my aging "Japanese brand compact all-in-one" and external "brand I cannot name but cheap standard" phono preamp. The NAD sounds good, exhibits a darker/warmer NAD-like sound that I expected. But, there are two sound-related drawbacks to this unit. First, the limited power. I know, it's in the specs, but I shouldn't have to have it one dot shy from max to listen to the phono input at moderate volume. That leads us to the second drawback: the phono stage is noisy and doesn't have much gain. It sounds good, but in order to get decent volume, you have to crank it, and the noise becomes very prevalent while listening. My other older integrated amp with its external pre-amp, and another integrated amp I am trying that has a built-in phono stage, are absolutely silent with the exact same power, location and devices connected.
Pros: NAD sound, features, compact size
Cons: Power output, phono gain, phono noise.

Michael from Cape Coral, FL on 2/10/2022
Really was expecting more from this amp based on the reviews here and from experts. I did not think the sound improved at all compared to my budget (well-rated) Sony STR-DH190. It was slightly less clear, especially the mid-range, and the bass seemed subdued. Driving Wharfedale Diamond 12.3s, I had to turn the volume almost all the way up so that every indicator light but one was lit. Consequently, the amp was very warm when in use. Still looking to upgrade to a better amp, but most of the candidates do not have Bluetooth, so that's a deal-breaker for me.
Pros: Easy hook-up
Cons: Runs hot Sound is just ok No manual Set-up not user-friendly

NAD's smooth & powerful audio in a tiny package
Crutchfield customer from Mount Gilead, NC on 12/11/2021
I'm using this in my high ceiling, single car garage with vintage Canton GL-260 bookshelf speakers (4 ohm/45-75 watts), a Klipsch R-100SW sub, and a Samsung tablet to stream You Tube Music. Having owned an NAD C 368 for a few years I was familiar with the quality and actual watts produced by NAD amps. This little D 3030 V2 fits my need for an affordable, space saving, Bluetooth capable integrated amp in the garage (scratch n dent plus Crutchfield reward pts helped with cost). I gave it 4 stars because it runs very warm on the top center, the volume display is less than completely informative, and no bass/treble adjustment. (My NAD C368 has an app for those adjustments - maybe I've missed something on the 3020?) A number of days went by before I realized there were more dots on the volume scale than I thought. (I read about the number of dots in a review) Maybe it runs cooler if used in the vertical position, but I'm not comfortable letting it sit that way on my garage shelf. Feet supplied by NAD to allow more air flow might be helpful for horizontal position. I've already ordered some Silicone Hemisphere Bumpers, Non-Skid Isolation Feet from another company.
Pros: Tiny, beautiful cabinet More watts available than specs indicate NAD sound quality
Cons: Very warm on top center in horizontal position, Volume display not immediately informative, No bass, treble, balance controls

Big Sound in a Small Package

I was looking for an amp to drive a pair of Wharfedale Denton 85s and this came highly recommended. At 4 ohms this little box puts out more than enough power and sounds superb. Music and movies are clear, full and dynamic. Connection and operation are straightforward. It gets a bit warm but that doesn't surprise me given the output and size of the unit. The touch buttons took a bit to get used to. Onboard controls are very sparse. For anything other than power, volume and source you'll need the included remote. The connections on the back are rather cramped (to be expected). I definitely recommend going with banana plugs and not bare wire. With bare wire the AUX connections were so cramped the jacks ended up being pushed at an angle. Thankfully they returned to center when I rewired the speaker cables with banana plugs. All in all I'd say it's a superb choice for a simple setup. The sound quality more than makes up for a few minor inconveniences.
Pros: Sound Fidelity Output Footprint Ease of Operation (once setup)
Cons: Sparse Controls Touch Controls Crammed Connections

After a week of listening in my office environment, I would say that this little amp is pretty capable. It's easy to use, consistent in performance and has a decent presentation. It's not massively powerful so be aware of what type of requirements your speakers have. I'm powering a pair of Monitor Audio Gold 100's and while the amp can create enough power to fill the room with sound, it doesn't have the dynamics of a more powerful amp. I may try the D3045 for added power.

Cons: Power hungry speakers may leave you wanting for more

I'm quite impressed with this little amp. After reading some professionally written reviews, I decided to give it a shot. My current setup with this is a pair of Monitor Audio Bronze 50's and I really think this little 30x2 can get them to almost 100% what they're capable of. Clarity is excellent, staging wonderful and full, nice and accurate for what it is. Keep in mind it's still only a 30x2 amp so it's certainly no heavy hitter. All the reviews that say something like "this thing gets way louder than I can handle" are certainly pushing beyond the point of distortion and can't hear it. It does tend to fall apart a bit at high volume levels but I'm assuming it's reaching in to the +db range, so that Should be expected. If you need more grunt to go with your larger hifi speakers, there's just no way at around needing the bigger version of this. That said, this amp makes the rest of the volume range sound heavenly. Go read some hifi magazine reviews.

A worthy successor to a classic
Crutchfield customer from Soda Springs, CA on 4/22/2021
After my trusty 40-year old NAD 3020 gave up the ghost, I opted for this offspring. First impression: it is much smaller than the original, only about a quarter of the size, and yet seems to create a richer sound than the old 3020, and has enough power to drive my equally old Wharfedale Diamond IIIs to loud levels. I also like the bluetooth connectivity, which in my use has yet to drop the signal and doesn't degrade the sound quality (at least to my old ears...). The fact that it is digital and takes about ten seconds to boot up doesn't bother me. However, the volume control is a little perplexing. Volume is indicated by a row of eight LEDs on the front panel, and I can hear nothing until at least three of the lights are showing. Higher volumes aren't engaged until the seventh LED appears. The knob allows precise control, but must be turned round and round to increase volume if one is not using the remote. I think NAD needs to rethink volume control and make it more intuitive like the old analog attenuators. Overall, I'm happy with its sound, especially through the old Wharfedales.

Let's Make Beautiful Music NAD
Brad from Morristown, TN on 2/12/2021
I bought the first model 7 years ago and loved. I needed something for a 3 season room and initially went another route (powered wireless speakers) which was a bust for multiple reasons. This ends up being a less elegant solution due to visible speaker cables but the sound coming from my Definitive bookshelf speakers is awesome for its application. It took less than 5 minutes to make the connections including Bluetooth and I was listening to hi-def music on a warm winter Tennessee night. Kudos to NAD for such a small, crisp, powerful device.

Perfect, Just what I was looking for
Crutchfield customer from Jamestown, NC on 10/27/2020
I was retro fitting a 1968 RCA console TV, and I needed to replace the old receiver. I was limited to the size I could get based on the old location. I was completely stumped until someone mentioned this NAD amp. The phono plug allowed me to plug in the new turntable, the optical and coax allowed me to hook up the TV and the DVD player, and if I can find a compact CD player there is an input for that too. And it streams from my tablet! So I have an older Android tablet I'm dedicating to just streaming through Bluetooth. I think I'm going to mount it to the underside of the lid on the old radio side. And then to top it all off, I've buried the this amp inside the unit and can operate it via remote through the old speaker enclosure. Winner. The sound is wonderful especially through my coveted PSB Alpha speakers.
Pros: Compact size, phono connection
Cons: IR remote (rather it be RF)

I needed a new stereo that takes up less space than my old one (Sherwood rx-4109) that also sounds better. This little unit delivers! It is my first non-budget level piece of stereo gear and I'm really enjoying it. Great sound stage, punchy dynamics and great detail. It lets the music move, and the groove and musicality of a good recording really jumps from the speakers. It also looks great in my living room and fits in the limited space I have. The Bluetooth works very well, and it comes with a handy remote. The remote is a bit finicky though, but still nice to have. If you're tight on space or just looking for a stereo amp that sounds great and doesn't cost a ton, I can't recommend this unit enough.
Pros: Great sound, compact, sleek looking, has a phono input
Cons: No onboard EQ. The digital inputs are slightly brighter than the analog inputs. Remote is a bit finicky

# Asthetics Really sleek and well made amp; small but has more than enough power to fill a room with clean sound. The volume knob is a bit hard to turn and doesn't click, not bad but not my preference. The source button is touch sensitive and not tactile, also not bad but rather have a small button for that, also it would be nice to have the power button and source button on the front of the unit. # Sound The sound is very clean and neutral, I have it hooked up to some 15w full range fostex, and it gets plenty loud. # Overall The optical, phono, and aux is all I needed it for and It does a superb job with out taking a lot of space.

A GREAT little amplifier, meets my needs precisely.
Crutchfield customer from Stillwater, MN on 5/18/2020
I needed an amp to power my Polk Audio RT-265 Vanishing series speakers installed into the ceiling of my sun room. Small was my main objective, then ease of use and streaming from my iPhone. But I wanted an amp that would do justice for the total sound In the sun room. It had to be magical. Setup was simple, but a bit confusing at first only because the amp needs two or three seconds to boot up. I wasn't sure if things were working and did the start, stop, re-power thing a couple of times before I understood what was going on. Once I got over that hurtle, I have to say the pairing of the amp and the speakers is wonderful, OH my God, an eagle just soared past, I am listening to Fleetwood Mac, Future Games. This 30 watt RMS per channel amp does a good job streaming from my iPhone. I use Apple music and Pandora with no problem. I simply turn it on and play. Just be aware that it takes about two or three seconds to boot up. After that, it's magical! The base, well there is a base control but I'll probably add a sub-woofer at some point, but that is to be expected. It's a 30 watt amp after all. Buy this amp and enjoy.

Pretty good value for the money. Sound is excellent. Startup is a bit slow. Remote is tiny and usually takes more than one try to actuate. Bluetooth is super buggy, but I think that's more just a general bluetooth problem and not necessarily NAD's problem. Did I say the sounds was terrific?
Pros: Sound. It's just gorgeous.
Cons: Remote is too small and unreliable. Bluetooth is beyond frustrating, both in trouble pairing and in signal *clicks* and drops. Startup takes a while, but it's not a tube amp (?).

Initial reactions: Just got things hooked up a couple of hours ago- Got this for a bedroom and it does the job. I have PSB Alpha P5 speakers with basic Crutchfield speaker wire, an NAD C 538 CD player with AudioQuest Evergreen patch cords, and an Audio Technica AT-LP3 TT with built in patch cords. Have listened to a variety of tunes: the Band, Thelonious Monk, Neil Young, Bette Midler. Overall pretty happy with the performance. Still plenty of detail at low volumes, certainly more than enough power to fill up the room and annoy the upstairs. I'm sure everything will sweeten up with some hours of play time. Easy Bluetooth activation and play. Sound quality is decent but I found some vocals muddled. It's Bluetooth so I can't complain too much. Turntable has plenty of presence. The only adjustment to output is a Bass Eq button. No balance, treble, or bass controls. If I want thumping bass with this set-up I'm going to need a sub. Adequate power for small rooms. I'm past my bleeding ear days so this does the trick for a second system. 30 watts limits the speaker selection. That NAD D 3045 provides some more wattage but was beyond my budget for a small set-up.
Pros: Small footprint, great for limited pace. Decent power for a bedroom or small living room.
Cons: Haven't run across any yet, system is still brand new. Very basic amp. Not a con but be aware of what you're getting!

GREAT AMP!
William from Mableton, GA on 2/23/2019
This is a GREAT little amp! It sounds fantastic with my MA Bronze 2 bookshelves and Onkyo 7030 CD player. Audiophile perfection, if you ask me. Everything is well balanced with the highs, lows and mids. No harsh highs. Nice bass with Diana Krall, Miles Davis, etc. Nice soundstage, too. Lively performance; not dull or flat. I haven't tried the bluetooth yet, I just keep listening to my CD's. I think this is a perfect amp for small to mid-size rooms. I'm listening to this in a room that measures 12 x 14 x 9. When I first got it I hooked it up in my living room just to see if things worked okay (which they did), but the living room was too big, of course for the amp (living room is 14 x 17 x 18 high ceiling). And the compact size is nice, too. I had checked the reviews and they were spot on. Nice job NAD and thanks for carrying this amp, Crutchfield.
Pros: Full, balanced sound.
Cons: None

Cool amp with a small but annoying issue.
Jacob from Brooklyn, NY on 2/13/2019
This amp sounds good, is super compact and has a nice phono input. However, I found a glitch with the functionality and wasn't happy with NADs support when inquiring about the problem. The issue is that the amp will automatically switch inputs to Blue Tooth when it detects some kind of signal. So say you're grooving on a record and your computer is still paired to the amp via Blue Tooth. Out of nowhere the amp will cut out your photo input and go to the Blue Tooth, even if it's silent. You can't turn this function off! - To make matters worse, there is nothing in the manual explaining this feature. There IS an auto-sense mode, but that is supposed to only wake up the amp from standby when it detects BT audio coming in. I reached out to NAD about it and they just said 'this is how it works.' When I explained that based on the documentation it shouldn't, I never got an additional reply. So one star deduction for the programming flaw, and another for the lack of support from NAD.
Pros: Compact Size, Phono Stage, sounds solid.
Cons: Slow start up, buggy bluetooth

Versatile and engaging amp
Gary from Grand Forks, ND on 1/2/2019
Paired this amp with PSB Alpha B1 bookshelf speakers (same parent company as NAD), and they are a winning combination. The 3020 V2 is very well-made. Power-wise, you will have to crank it up around half-way to hear music with in-the-room presence. I found myself wishing for a bit more power, but with the 60-watt 3045 retailing for $700, this amp is a steal. The Bluetooth worked flawlessly; no dropouts. It has a phono preamp, and DAC for digital sources. No direct USB connection to a laptop, though. With Bluetooth working so well, this is not a big negative. The remote works really well, and gives you access to a bass enhance button. It adds a subtle bottom. To sum up, this amp is versatile and engaging. It has enough power small-to-medium rooms. I like it a lot.
Pros: Built-in phono preamp and DAC. Excellent Bluetooth. Elegant design, solid build quality. Massive value for price. Engaging, musical presentation.
Cons: No USB connection. Not the most powerful amp in the world.

NAD D 3020 V2
Matt from Longmont, CO on 12/4/2018
I decided to try some passive bookshelf speakers for the study computer and, after pondering some very inexpensive choices, I "splurged" to get the NAD D3020. This little amp has way more power than I need, which was one of my worries. The sound is also great! I don't want to sound cliched, but I do think I'm hearing details that I hadn't noticed before. Now, if the D3045 will only go on sale! :)

Great-sounding, versatile little workhorse.
Chad from TRAVERSE CITY, MI on 11/3/2018
Having recently (finally) bought into the whole streaming music thing but also wanting to continue to enjoy my LPs, I thought I'd try this out. From past experience with NAD equipment, I knew that I could trust their judgement, not to mention their engineering. I was not disappointed. Despite the relatively low wattage, this thing can pump out fantastic sound, even at high decibel levels--at least through the right speakers. I've got mine rigged-up to Wharfedale Diamond 225s, ostensibly 'bookshelf' speakers, rated at a relatively low wattage range of 30-120 watts. I thought they might be too much speaker for the 3020, but they really shine, probably due to NAD's magical circuitry as much as the speakers themselves. The auxiliary (cd) and phono section are superb, the latter coaxing new insight out my old vinyl. And even interfacing with plain-old Amazon Music, its digital section finesses the best out of my phone's music library. I can only imagine what it will sound like, once I get Tidal up and running. Setting up Bluetooth was effortless and works like a charm; the expensive portable Bluetooth speakers I thought were slick enough are now relegated to the garage only. If I have any reservations with regard to this little wonder, maybe it's that it's so discrete that I can't flaunt it like I did with my old 312 beast. Highly recommended.
Pros: Phenomenal sound for its size/wattage; forward-looking versatility; smart circuitry; looks and size
Cons: Looks and size (?); remote volume control a tad sluggish

Great streamer, amp, DAC trio but no holy grail
Sanjeeb from Carthage, NY on 10/10/2018
A workhorse for your needs with regular cans or mid-grade headphones. A great amp/DAC/streamer combo hooked up to cans. Mine runs hot even running Wharfdale Diamond 225 2-way designed bookshelf speakers. Th unforeseen bonus may be free heating in winter? But whats not to like or risk when you want to enter audiophile land on a budget and you haven't budgeted for Parasound HALOs or amps from Emotiva.
Pros: Great three-in-one amp, DAC, streamer for mid-grade cans or speakers. You may want to spend $100 more and look elsewhere and not have any regrets, but be warned it is few and far between to find a three-in-one within $200 dollars.
Cons: Don't expect to push Grado, Sennheiser or Beyerdynamic headphones to satisfaction with this product. It will work for mid-grade Sony or AudioTechnica cans. Overheats pushing Wharfdale Diamond 225s or ELAC Uni-Fi UB5s. Only one optical input. Unsat!

Small, mighty and full of features
Leslie from San Juan, PR on 8/27/2018
Simplicity in a small package. If you're looking for an amp that disappears until you turn it on then look no further. It is very capable for driving any bookshelf speaker in a 30 to 80 watt range. Soundstage is impressive and with all the connectivity including vinyl you come close to the perfect solution for a small room.
Pros: Compact, full of features nice design
Cons: Pairing with low impedance speakers might be tricky.

Version 2 with phono input, what I was looking for
Steve from Fort Wayne, IN on 6/25/2018
I needed a smaller unit to replace a Music Hall full-size integrated amp and went with the NAD. It was a good choice. The sound is comparable to the Music Hall, it has a phono input, DAC and subwoofer out which is what I needed. It runs to a pair of Epos Epics and a PSB sub and sounds great in my office. I love the look and the size. Very happy with it.
Pros: Size, ease of setup and use, remote is great
Cons: Touch buttons on unit are difficult to use

smooth sound, awesome Bluetooth but looses fine details
Aaron from Pensacola, FL on 6/4/2018
Well starting off I have a Cambridge topaz am10 and I'm moving to a much smaller space and fought with the idea of what to do with my current amp. I wanted to retain a phone input and reasonable wattage but in a smaller form factor, enter d3020 V2. First off it's a great amp with plenty of power and overall the sound is enjoyable, in some ways even better than the topaz. The thing I don't like is after a good burn in time I noticed when switching between the two amps that the d3020 couldn't convey a bit of the top end detail , plus the instrument separation was tighter as well and blurred some fine nuances in songs. Overall though a fine choice just not for me as I listen to jazz mostly but a fine amp for quite a lot of uses, also the Bluetooth and Dac works really well.
Pros: Smooth sound, rhythmic ability, features, size, phono input is great and Bluetooth works great.
Cons: Fine details and nuances lost, soundstage feels tight. Overall not a bad amp just not for me.

NAD D 3020 V2
Crutchfield customer from NYC on 4/15/2018
Great everything-you-need DAC-AMP for a small living room in NYC. The sound is definitely good, but hard to say how good without a direct comparison in the same room while building won't let you play anything too loud. I can easily recommend.

Great size and performance for the money. A game-changing amplifier with a built in DAC and phone input.
Pros: Small size and big performer!

NAD D 3020 V2
Crutchfield customer from Brea, CA on 3/19/2018
Small do it all that could, 500 sq.ft room with a book shelf and an iPhone, all pair with this D3020. Not much bass id you dont have a sub but it enough for classical, Jazz, etc. However, if you need any bass, you can add small sub and just plug in at the back, bomb all done. Small - mid size room filled with joy.

Great little amp for the money
John from Marshall, MI on 2/26/2018
This little amp does exactly what I need it to do: play music via bluetooth and run some good but relatively inefficient speakers as my primary TV speakers. Setup is a breeze, connecting speakers and TV was a snap, and finding the amp on Bluetooth was easy. There are three issues with the amp as I see it. First, with my setup, you really need to crank the volume to get decent sound. It's not a big deal, but it's a little annoying. Second, the lack of a real manual means you have to go online to figure out how to setup standby power, link to the TV remote, and set your inputs. Some of us still like paper. Third, the lack of a real sub out (it's a 3.5mm) means you'll need to find a specialty connection of some sort to run it. The amp only comes with a power cord, so make sure you order whatever other cords you might need. All in all, though, the sound is warm and lush; the amp does not get overly hot; and it just works. My old Athena speakers have new life.
Pros: Nice, full sound; good stereo staging; handles TV very well; handles music quite well.
Cons: Needs AirPlay or another WiFI connectivity; 3.5mm sub out is not the greatest

NAD D 3020 V2 rocks
Kevin from Gibsonia, PA on 2/25/2018
Great amp. Easy to set up. Great sound. Although it has lots of great features, I've used it to connect it to my Echo Dot. Now the world's my oyster.
Pros: Lots of connection options, size of a (thick) book.
Cons: Only con is that connecting the speaker wires using the holes instead of the banana jacks was a little tricky.

NAD D 3020 V2
Tim from Sugar Grove, IL on 2/19/2018
Ordered the v2 to replace a v1 D3020 that was purchased refurbished several years back. I wanted the built-in phono preamp in the v2 and hoped the newer unit had a better remote with more accurate volume/function response when pressed. Well, the new unit comes with a 'new' remote that is physically different from the v1 however the delay/accuracy issue still exists. You have to press/hold the volume for it to start to adjust the level, but Not a big deal overall. Most importantly the amp sounds fantastic powering a pair of PSB Imagine Mini's and the phono preamp sounds pretty darn good with the attached MoFi Studiodeck. Cheers!
