Thanks to Bowers & Wilkins damage proof packaging I received my 603-S3 speaker in pristine condition. The 603-S3 is a quality speaker well worth the price. The build and sound quality are amazing. B&W will always be my speaker of choice.
Pros: Superior sound and build quality.
Cons: none

Perfect sound.
Andrew from Florida USA on 4/21/2025
It took me a while to understand that the most important thing in music sound are the speakers. Perfect sound. Lows, mids and highs came to life with this pair. Speakers looks so beautiful my wife didn't complain. She told me that she never listened to music with this fidelity. Don't hesitate and get a pair you won't regret it. As always Crutchfield.com with the best service in US.
Pros: Sound the way it should be. Lows, mids and highs perfectly fine.
Cons: None.

Overachievers for the price
Eric from Guaynabo, PR on 3/4/2025
These are quality built speakers. Solid cabinet and drivers. Very good clarity with excellent midrange and tight bass. In my opinion, neutral sounding. As these are heavy speakers, Crutchfield's excellent double box packaging might have saved one of them since the outer box came punctured and the internal one slightly damaged. Thank you Crutcthfield!
Pros: Sound transparency. Efficiency. Build quality.
Cons: Nothing major to highlight.

Great Speakers, affordable price!
SP_FL from Wellington, FL on 1/4/2025
This was an upgrade to my 6 series bookshelf speakers that i have owned for more than a decade now. The sound reproduction and quality is very good. Perhaps the 7 series would sound better, but for this price the 603 S3 cannot be beat. The speakers are quite heavy which will reduce vibration and also mean better materials and build quality. The 6inch subwoofer eliminates the need for a separate subwoofer. The sound is crisp and clean. I've paired the speakers with an Onkyo RZ 70 receiver with a bi-amp connection- and it's a good match. I'm very much enjoying my music!

Replaced 25 year old B&W bookshelf speakers with the floor standing 603 S3s. Old speakers were great but these are just fantastic. Can hear each instrument, voice and musical nuance with clarity and the overall output is a great experience. The musicians are there with you in the room!

Totally Awesome
Clarence from Statesville, NC on 8/15/2024
So glad I purchased these, after much research I choose these over the Wharfedale EVO 4.4s. No need for a subwoofer with my set up, a pioneer SA-9100 running pre amp for a pioneer SX-950, most music I can keep the bass flat and it's still is adequate. The clean sound is breathtaking, the look is great and they are solid construction a bit heavy but I like that, Crutchfield was the right place to purchase from they were great, packaging was very good, I was worried about shipping but I received them in excellent condition 5 stars for those shipping guys also
Pros: Too many to mention
Cons: None

Exactly what I was looking for
Ralphael from Latham, NY on 7/30/2024
I absolutely love these speakers. The frequency range is perfect. Highs are sweet and present never harsh or piercing. Mids are right there in the mix but never overbearing and my goodness the low end, it's massive. I don't see how anyone would really need a sub with these. My usage is for stereo music playback, primarily vinyl but I also listen to cds. I have been using a pair of Klipsch FS speakers for almost a decade and they are great looking and sounding speakers for the price but I have always felt like the high end was just too harsh and the mids scooped a bit. In HT setup I do think the Klipsch excel but for analog stereo playback I needed a change. I chose the B&Ws because I heard the 703s in person and was floored how good they sounded. I figured the 603s even if sound half as good would be awesome. I also used Crutchfiekds sister comparison feature which helped quite a bit. In my setup the annoying high end was now gone, the low end was deeper and better, and the mids were back in action. I can't recommend these speakers enough. Cosmetically they are very nice and not overly large which makes me very happy. I have cranked them up and they definitely handle it very well. The plinth and spikes are a nice touch. I managed to place mine perfectly in the new room I set them up in. 5 stars easily on these speakers from me. B&W definitely has a new fan. Gear: - U-Turn Orbit Theory Ortofon 2M Bronze with Pluto preamp - Yamaha
Pros: Perfect frequency range Cosmetically appealing Not too large
Cons: Expensive

Bowers & Wilkins 603 S3
John Brantley from ENGLEWOOD, FL on 7/10/2024
Well these speakers are absolutely amazing! The vocals and highs are very impressive. Sounds studio like listening to bands like Fleetwood Mac. The 603 S3 are driven by a late 70s Sansui G-7000 and accompanied by Acoustic Research AR15s on the B channels. The sound is unreal!! Very happy with the B&W 603 S3 speakers. You will be too!!
Pros: Studio sound

Best Sound
Michael from The Villages, FL on 6/2/2024
Well folks the price is a bit stiff, $2,675.00 a pair! However you do get what you pay for. These speakers are not what you find at department stores. They are beautiful, will add presence to any decor, and they sound just amazingly well. If you are looking for a very accurate speaker that does not add or subtract anything from the sound played you got the perfect set. I replaced my Bowers&Wilkins 606 S2 with these new 603 S3 and couldn't be more pleased. Treble is silky smooth, I mean DAM that's good! The midrange is spot on, and the Bass is good. Absolutely recommend them, seriously if you want a great sounding speakers , Anything Bowers&Wilkins makes is just fantastic quality and the sound is the best I have heard. Absolutely love them , it was hard parting ways with almost $3000.00, but well worth it when you open the box! Mike In the land of coconut tress, Florida.
Pros: Absolutely everything you could want and then some. Great sound, look great, built exceptionally well
Cons: The price... $2,675.00 is a bunch. Bass could be just a little deeper.. not much

Exceptional Sound, deep sound stage
Acar from Atlanta, GA on 4/23/2024
I have been listening to a pair of classic AR3a speakers last 40 years and never considered any other speaker ever. On a whim I went and listened to Bowers and Wilkins 602 S2 speakers and I was hooked. Crutchfield had 603 S3's on sale and I ordered a pair immediately. They arrived in 4 days and I have been listening to them since. I had recently bought a subwoofer from Crutchfield and coupled with the new BW 603 S3's, the sound quality immediately changed and improved. These speakers sound much more naturally and fill my 40x30 room fully and forcefully. I have a Yamaha Aventage atmos capable receiver and watching atmos movies became a completely immersive experience. I generally listen to classical music and these speakers feel like they are made for that. Even though I am still braking them in, I am very happy with BW 603 S3 speakers. .
Pros: Clean and sleek look, balanced sound, fills my listening area.
Cons: Not booming base, but works well with a good subwoofer.

Balanced
Stephanie from Storrs Manfld, CT on 3/27/2024
These speakers are open and detailed. They don't have a ton of bass but I'm still breaking them in so I expect the low end to fill out a bit more over time. They are very balanced speakers. It doesn't feel like there's any particular frequency that's boosted or cut more than others. Highly recommend if you're looking for a more neutral and balanced speaker.

Really good soraker
carlos from Miami, FL on 9/23/2023
These speakers are wonderful. The cabinet is really solid. I know the S2 got some neg reviews for the tweeter being too harsh but this speaker's titanium tweeter is really smooth and still highlights detail. This speaker has PLENTY of bass.no sub needed. The bass is fast, deep, and responsive but not muddy at all. Driving it with two old carver tfm 35's and they dont play, they sing. Good size in that they're plenty big but thin enough to not look to bulky and have a decent footprint. Really enjoying them.
