As good as the reviews say...

Surprisingly fine sound for such a relatively small speaker. Nice crisp highs and solid mid-range. I also added the B+W, 8" subwoofer for added bass response. Together this set-up is a very solid 2+1 stereo speaker solution for me.

Pros: Balanced, slightly forward sound (which I prefer) in the high range. Think crisp cymbals, hi-hats and upper vocal registers.

Cons: None really. Bass is quite good for a small bookshelf speaker, but if you like really deep bass, then you'll want to add a subwoofer.

An overall excellent small speaker. Great clarity, definition and sound stage for a small speaker. Would work in any small room and likely wouldn't need a sub. Can't speak to how well they would perform in a larger room as I use these in my office and have them connected to a vintage Sansui G-7500 receiver.

Detail-oriented

More toward the sterile than the tainted, I believe the hygienic 607 S3s will rather intrigue than insist as their predecessor Peachtree M25s did in an admittedly beguiling way. Seems by chance my rig's oriented toward accuracy. To that extent's true, the truth hurts! Source material off the Audiolab 6000CDT through Cambridge CXA81 Mk II and out the B&Ws easily reveals goofs in performance, recording, and production.Other side of that coin, they delivery every bit of the best CDs that my poor ol' ears can still appreciate. Very highly recommended!

Pros: Stimulatingly punctilious.

Cons: Not crazy about the white reveal.

Great clarity and soundstage

Bought the 607 S3 as an upgrade to my Warfedale Diamond 12.1 speakers. They are an upgrade in every way. Much better clarity and a bigger soundstage in every dimension. Despite being about the same size, the 607s somehow fill the room with sound much more than the Warfedales and give an actual sense of depth to the soundstage. I'm impressed. They may seem expensive but I think the 607s are worth the asking price.

Absolutely stunned by not only the clarity and detail, but the full and powerful sound that these speakers produce. My son and I were listening to many different types of music on them last night and kept looking at each other in amazement that so much was coming from something so small. From intricate acoustic pieces from some of the greats to hard hitting rock, the layers that these bring to life is truly impressive. I was sure I'd need to add a sub right away, but I feel zero need to do so anytime soon. For full context, these are being powered by an Arcam A25, connected bi-wire with ELAC speaker wires, streaming Tidal HiFi. My office/listening room is 10.5'x14.5'.

Compact and efficient

Compact speaker with great sound for the size and the "sale" price. I wanted something small that would serve as a surround speaker in a 5.1.6 system in our sunroom. It is doing the job and they fit on a pair of plant stands.

Pros: compact

Cons: the bass is very weak as expected

Benchmark BookShelf Speakers

These little beauties are amazing. I have had these on my wish list for a long time. Since then other versions are available but to me the S3 is the benchmark at this price point, and guess what happened? Crutchfield let me know they are now available at a discounted price - No brainer. As soon as I connected them, I knew this would be a great upgrade to my old Mission speakers and listing to my new vinyl setup through them was no disappointment. Perfect size and sound for my room setup. Thank you B&W for such a great sound from a small box and thank you Crutchfield for both a great price and superb service.

I was looking for a set of small speakers for my living room and decided to try the new Bowers Wilkins 607 S3s. Since I was connecting these to a 35 watt amp I was concerned the sensitivity rating would be an issue. I placed them temporarily on the floor near the corners of the roomand they sound beautiful. Can't imagine how good they will sound when I put them on stands. Great buy and highly recommend.
