Great clear sound, but pair with a sub
Lisa from Mundelein, IL on 2/5/2025
Fantastic sound quality for a ceiling speaker. Good imaging without a lot of added "color" to the natural tones of the music. Bottom end is good, but I would pair it with a sub (depending on music choice) to cover the low end decently. Would definitely recommend. I paired it with an SVS -2k as I have a larger room.
Pros: Clear natural quality reproducing the music Good imaging Super easy Installation
Cons: Not a con, but for certain music, you'll need a sub

Bowers & Wilkins Performance Series CCM684
Jeffrey from Liberty Hill, TX on 6/27/2022
Listened to them prior to making a purchase and exactly what I expected. The highs and mid response is crisp to my ear and very responsive. Running 2 sets off of a Sonos Amp and no lacking power to drive these. One of the conscious tradeoffs I made when comparing in-ceiling speakers is that while these are excellent for and high and mid range, the low range does not have as much oomph and drive to be a perfect all around speaker. I decided that compared to the other set I was comparing that the lows were too muddled anyway and it was worth it for what I listened to. It was especially noted but got better after breaking in the speakers for a few hours. Installation was super easy and the adjustable clips for placement made it a breeze to orient the right direction. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is a little less punch on low end than I'd take for a perfect all around.
Pros: - super easy install - clean, crisp high and mid range response
Cons: - low range response is not up to snuff for price - Yeah, expensive

Hifi fro the ceiling
Tom from SNELLVILLE, GA on 2/16/2021
These are awesome. very nice quality. Love how the grill pops in magnetically and how low profile and sleek they look. Very easy mounting. Sound: Very clear mid's and highs. Spacious sound. HiFi quality as you would expect from B&W. Rivals box speakers but from ceiling. Bass is OK, and they sound great, but a subwoofer really makes them shine. Can effortlessly pump out some volume with this setup (150 W sonos amp, which, surprise, believe it or not, is pretty decent). Definitely recommend these if you want true hifi sound coming form the ceiling. I am an audiophile (ahem...snob), but can be very satisfied with this setup for more casual or party listening. I am adding a few more pairs to other locations throughout house.
Pros: Real HiFi sound Build quality Looks Easy install
Cons: Not super bass, though adequate (what do you expect from ceiling)
