Amazing
Mike from New Jersey on 3/20/2023
Crutchfield did help me make a GREAT decision during my research on in-wall speakers. These speakers sound unbelievable!!!! And that is an understatement. I was looking to build a 5.1 family HT for music listening as well. I paired them with CWM 664 and a CCM 7.5 S2. However, in the beginning I was looking to purchase JBL Studio speakers because I wanted to be budget conscious. After doing some research and thinking I thought you get what you pay for and with these speakers it's TRUE. The sound quality highs and lows are incredible. I have NO subwoofer yet and the lows are mind blowing. Running these off a Marantz SR6010 and Emotiva Basx3 Amp 140W all channels driven. Forget about all other speakers GET THIS!!!!
Pros: Great sound, beautiful highs and kicking lows.
Cons: Grill is tight to install.

Impressive
Richard from St George, UT on 9/13/2022
While not yet in the permanent mounting position and still in the break-in period, I can say that this center channel speaker is excellent. Was initially going to go with three - LCR - of B&W Reference Series CWM7.5 S2, but after using the awesome Crutchfield SpeakerCompare tool, ultimately went with L&R of Performance Series CWM663, which to me sounded comparable - at half the cost of the 7.5 S2s. Gus at Crutchfield recommended the CWM7.4 S2 as the center, and he is spot on. Paired with the CWM663s, and existing Energy EXL-S10 Subwoofer, driven by Yamaha RX-V2500, this center is clear, bright and responsive and all the while being open air, no rear enclosure yet. Have listened to music in 7 channel mode, which incorporates center channel, it sounds awesome. Dialog in movies and TV are crystal clear without having to turn up the volume a ridiculous amount as with its replacement. Overall, very impressed.
Pros: Clear, bright, responsive, solid construction
Cons: The quarter-turn screws which secure the speaker in the frame really should have a positive feeling detent to ensure operator has secured the spring-loaded screw.

Great In-Wall Option
Michael from Elmhurst, IL on 3/13/2021
EZ install, 30 minutes for both. Tremendous sound paired with my Marantz SR 7013. Floor space limited, so replaced Bose with these in-wall speakers. I expected them to sound significantly better, but wow! When streaming Amazon HD music, the clarity, the separation, the highs and the lows are crisp (Klipsch reference subwoofer), fills the room effortlessly. Well worth the upgrade cost. UPDATED 12/6/22: I already posted a review for this product, 5 stars for sound, 1 star for replacement part availability. However, I had painters ruin my grilles and have been trying to get replacements for maybe a year. No help from Crutchfield, no help from encompass (us parts supplier for B&W), no help from B&W UK. I assume it works be just as hard to get any other part or service of needed. Again, love the sound, hate the service. 12/19 Update - Revised again reflecting Crutchfield's relentless effort by a half dozen associates to make this right, I received my parts from Encompass less than 2 weeks after my frustrated review was published. It wasn't easy for them, but they did it and I appreciate it.
Pros: EZ install, incredible sound, great value. UPDATED 12/6/22: Exceptional sound
Cons: None yet. UPDATED 12/6/22: No ability for parts replacement
