Great as Center Channel

I used this as my center channel and could not be happier with the ease of install and the quality of sound! I did not install the long plastic white sound dampener since I installed in the ceiling vs/wall installation.

Disapointing product and service.

Not as happy with these as my CCM664. These have a weird "reservoir" longer than the speaker that has to fit down into the wall below the speaker. Not expected, and sometimes, there is simply not enough room. Is this reservoir necessary? What happens if I insulate instead? What is the effect on the performance of not using the accessory? I called B&W tech support three times. After waiting on hold for an extended period, my call was jettisoned into a forced voice mail for tech support. Left my number three times. A week later, still no callback. Horrible customer service. So disappointing for a premium product.

Outstanding

Outstanding in-wall speakers. When I auditioned them against others in a showroom, they were a big step up from the B&W 663 and sounded near-identical to the MartinLogan Motion XT CI XTW5 (same price). The XT CI XTW6 sounded marginally better (but cost 50% more). I also auditioned them against bookshelf speakers from B&W that cost almost twice and they sounded almost the same. A step up would only have been floor speakers that cost twice as much. Definition and clarify of the sound are outstanding, bass is more than adequate. The built-in back box and the (optional) acoustic baffle box make the bass more pronounced than expected for speakers with a relatively small 5 1/2 woofer. I am also loving how easy they install (snap-in). I am using them with a ROTEL RA-1572 which seems like a good fit. Highly recommended!

Bowers & Wilkins Reference Series CWM7.5 S2

I recently installed horizontally as a center channel in a 5.2.4 home theater setup in an open floor plan, single story Family Room. I'm blown away by how good this sounds.
