The Intersection of Value and Performance

I was skeptical that an entry level product would perform in the same ballpark as the flagship series. Make no mistake, the 600 series is not on par with the 800 Diamond series or even the 700 series for that matter. That said, this is well apportioned and designed center channel. The clarity is better than my MartinLogan Matinee which absolutely shocked me. Moreover, the revealing nature of the tweeter and midrange combination of the HTM6 brings dialogue center stage as intended. Voice timbre is spot on and dispersion seems to be rather wide as I can sit 60 degrees off center and the presentation is still very good. The HTM6 plays well around 60-70 dB and really shines around 85 dB. I am using an Outlaw 7000x in combination with an Anthem pre-pro for my family room system. At louder volume, one may want to reduce treble -1 dB and I found a +1 dB boost in bass to be rewarding. I am using two MartinLogan Depthi subs which integrates well with the HTM6, providing excellent performance from 30 Hz and up. To complete the front stage and surrounds, I added the 606-S3 bookshelf which produce 63 Hz and up whereas the HTM6 is limited to 70 Hz due to the smaller midrange woofer. Do incorporate a SW because these speakers are amazing 80 Hz and up. I am extremely pleased with my purchase choice of the Bowers & Wilkins HTM6 and 606-S3 speakers and highly recommend for home theater and music at a great value. I would upgrade them to the 700 series for more hea
Pros: Clarity Revealing Value Performance Size
Cons: Rubber nubs instead of adjustable feet
