These elegant stands allow you to mount a pair of Bowers & Wilkins M-1 speakers at an ideal height for optimal listening. The ball-and-socket mechanism on the speakers let you mount them on the stands vertically or horizontally. A cable management system lets you run speaker wire through the base and up through the stand for a tidy installation.

Features

Speaker Compatibility: The FS-M-1 floorstands are custom-designed specifically for the Bowers & Wilkins M-1 satellite loudspeakers (sold separately). The M-1 satellite speakers' table-top pedestal stands will need to be removed to mount the M-1 speakers' ball-and-socket arm assemblies to the FS-M-1 floorstands. The M-1 speakers mount vertically or horizontally onto the FS-M-1 floorstands. The FS-M-1 floorstands will place the M-1 satellite speakers at the ideal listening height when in a seated position.

Note: A torx-key (hidden under the removable rubber foot of the M-1 satellite speaker's' pedestal stand) is used to install the speaker on the FS-M-1 floorstand.

Steel & Aluminum Construction: The FS-M-1 floorstands are constructed of steel and aluminum, featuring hollow aluminum upright posts and heav-duty steel bases. The stands are available in a black or white finish to match your B&W M-1 satellite loudspeakers.

Wire Management: Your speaker wire disappears into the back of the FS-M-1 floorstand's base and routes up through the hollow upright post and to the M-1 satellite speaker's pre-wired ball-and-socket arm assembly.

Rubber Feet: The Bowers & Wilkins FS-M-1 floorstands include self-adhesive rubber feet to prvent unwanted vibration and protect your hardwood, tile, laminate, or vinyl floors. The rubber feet add approximate 0.125" to the overall height of the speaker stands.

Note: The FS-M-1 stands to do not come with spike feet and do not provide threaded inserts to add on spike feet.

Is the 37" height just the stand or to the top of the M1 speaker?

To top of stand. Top of speaker with stand 43"

The height of only the stand is approximately 37 inches. The height to the top of the speaker is approximately 43 inches.

On the rubber feet the top of the stand is 38" above my hardwood floor. The bottom of the speaker is at 35" and the top of the speaker at 43.5", roughly.

The stand itself is 37" tall. With the speaker attached, the top of the speaker is at 42".

I can't assemble the stands properly, having an issue with connecting the bases. The screws aren't catching the threads in the corresponding holes of the base. Has anyone used a different kind of base to mount the poles?

Looking at image #2 in the install info it appears that the alignment of the base, pole, and spacer is crucial in getting the two mounting screws to thread properly.
