Magnificent
Steve from Jacksonville, FL on 5/4/2025
I'm simply ecstatic about these PX7 S2e headphones. They are by far the most expensive headphones I've ever purchased, so I was a little apprehensive, but they're delivering a "next level" quality of listening than I'm used to. I listen to a wide array of genres of music, from reggae to classic rock to classical, and the Bowers & Wilkins have wonderfully added an enhanced experience to all of them.

Great purchase at this price point
Nick from Radford, VA on 4/18/2025
I just purchased these after doing a ton of research. Ultimately I decided on them over the Sony X5's, mostly due to appearances since both were praised as generally having the best sound. I will say that for some genres like rap or electronic music, these need a bit of EQ adjustment to get more low end, but ultimately sound great.
Pros: great sound. tactile buttons!(Sick of my wireless buds not having real buttons). Very comfortable and premium feeling. Battery life is great!
Cons: Could be not bass heavy enough for some. I have a big head and they fit just right if not a little loose feeling (which makes them easy to wear for long periods of time) so if you have a small head I'm not sure if they will fit right. Go try a pair on!

Horrible Manufacturing Quality
Brandon from INDEPENDENCE, KY on 4/13/2025
Complete rubbish manufacturing. After 2 years and 1 month (conciently outside of their warranty repair deadline) the foam and rubber/leather padding around the ear muffs completely separated from the headphones themselves. B&W refused to mitigate this problem in any way other than attempting to sell me a new pair. UHHH NO THANK YOU - end of their support conversation. They do sound moderately good but I informed them I fly all over the country and to Europe frequently and that I would be sure to wear these raggedy POS in every airport and flight. Not a single care was given.
Pros: Sound great
Cons: They fall apart after approximately a year

Ok but no real improvement (to my ears)
Joseph from Franklin, TN on 11/15/2024
Had read these were a fairly noticeable audio improvement over the PX7 S2. The original model I thought was very well made and comfortable, but thought the audio was really flat. Went back to my Bose. This "e" upgrade doesn't sound any noticeably different than the non "e" original model. Gonna return. Still feel solid, fit comfortably and love the green color options but sound is lacking, even after some EQ tweaks.

Premium Sound and Function
Susan from Henrico, VA on 10/20/2024
Full discloser, I am not an audiophile but I do prefer clean, balanced sound. My heaviest usage so far has actually been for zoom calls while working from home. In short, these are fantastic but there are a couple of places where their competition beats them. Even though I own Apple AirPod Max headphones, I ordered these when my 16-month old Bose Quiet Comfort 45 headphones died on me (Minus one on durability Bose). Noise Cancelling - Bose and Apple beat the B&Ws out by a little bit but not enough to really matter. Transparency mode - critical for phone calls - Apple cannot be beat in this area but B&W is very much a close second (Bose was a very distant third). Unfortunately, for some reason, the Apple set did not play nicely when I was on zoom calls so I gave up using them for work. Apple is also fairly heavy and becomes uncomfortable to wear after a short time. I have found the B&W headphones to work well for work/zoom phone calls, very competent at noise cancelling, extremely comfortable to wear for an extended amount of time, and the sound... absolutely beautiful, full, and balanced. The headphone case B&W provides is also excellent, including the hidden storage area for the cables. The controls are fairly intuitive and easy to use on the B&W (though I still prefer Apple's dial the best). The B&W app is okay and probably the least impressive thing, but not critical for functioning. Battery life so far is top notch. Overall - highly recommend!
Pros: Noise cancelling Transparency mode Sound Comfort Battery Life
Cons: Phone App

Jeremy from Chatsworth, CA on 9/20/2024
Phenomenal over the ear headphones! I would say best in class in the $300-600 range. I've only had them a couple weeks, but they're supremely comfortable, from the soft & supple ear cups to the sturdy & strong headband. Just wore them for several hours at a time on a flight from LA to Chicago & back, and didn't experience any ear fatigue, ear aches or headaches! Battery life so far has been great, and despite 8 hours of use over a couple days, I didn't have to charge them yet. ANC is good for me.....many people have talked about how the ANC on these is not as "strong" or as good as some of the competitors, but for me it's been more than sufficient. As for the sound quality, I think these are one of the best sounding pair of headphones I've ever heard. By no means are they the best.....I've tried some of the units up in the $700 - 1,200 range like the Focal Bathys & Celestee's, the brand new older brother of these the PX8, the Mark Levinson 5909's and while they're amazing & best of the best in sound quality, they're also significantly more expensive. I'm not at all an audiophile, but having tried out multiple headphones in the $300 - 600 range from Sony, Sennheiser & Bose, these are the clear leader to me. After adjusting the bass & treble in the B&W app EQ, the bass is solid & deep without being boomy or muddy. Mids are strong & crisp, and the highs are clear & bright. As many have mentioned, the EQ is lacking, but I'll deal with it. Overall a solid performer so far!

Very adequate
ANATOLY from Bozeman, MT on 8/30/2024
I've got these phones for travel as I need proper phones for tel-conferences and air travel and I would really like to have a good sound for my music player. Overall, I found those phones meeting expectations based on quite positive reviews. I definitely can recommend these phones for anybody who needs good sounding phones with noise canceling and Bluetooth connections. If you don't need exactly this combination (as I do) - there are quite better options for better sound and for cheaper / better wireless phones. 1. The phones are nicely built and comfortable - just as expected. Too heavy comparing to some others - but this is price for having wireless option. 2. Sound quality I found adequate (when using 3.5 mm analog input). I was told that these are best sounding phones for less than $500 and I can believe it. Sound quality via Bluetooth is much worse (as expected). Surprisingly, when using USB connection, the quality is closer to Bluetooth than to analog input. Overall, I found sound quality similar or slightly worse than my old Audio Technica. But I should mention that this Audio Technica phones were probably more expansive (~$400 nominal price when dollar was quite more expensive). And also these are just head phones without any additional options. 3. Sound quality in wireless and Transparency modes are very good (for tele-conferencing etc). Noise cancellation is OK (meets expectations). 4. Connectivity - after reset (!) it became fine (meeting spec).
Pros: Very reasonably good sound and adequate noise cancellation and wireless performance
Cons: Some issues with connections. Why do I need an app to control phones?

Dynamic presentation and luscious midrange
Peter from CHARLOTTE, VT on 8/2/2024
You won't be disappointed with these HiFi phones. Tons of details, clear high end but never harsh or shrill, and deep bass. The presentation is bold, dynamic, and lively. What's particularly stunning about these is the midrange. Voices, especially female voices, are delivered with a rich warm presence that is incredibly charming and listenable. Compared to our Bose Quiet Comfort phones, which are really natural sounding, rich, and easy to listen to these are a clear hifi upgrade - more detail and more dynamic - which is a really compliment because the Bose are really nice. Very highly recommended, you won't be disappointed! Do keep in mind, it took 2 days running these nonstop for them to open up, so don't listen critically until break in. Enjoy!
Pros: Bold dynamic sound, rich midrange, lots of details in high end, and deep powerful bass. Voices are amazing through these!
Cons: A little heavier than Bose Quiet Comfort, but worth it

Super bluetooth headphones for the money
Jeffrey from Kensington, MD on 7/25/2024
These headphones are great. I've only had them a week, but they are very comfortable and have great fidelity for the dollar and for being non-wired headsets. They also have impressive noise cancellation The sound stage is very good.
Pros: Comfortable and unexpectedly good fidelity for a bluetooth headphone.
Cons: I wear glasses and the fit is not perfect in that respect

Best in value for the price range.
Joseph from Louisville, KY on 6/21/2024
The more I use these headphones the more I love them! The comfort, fit, and sound they produce for the money is really good value! Plus add in the fact that Crutchfield support was top notch. At one point when I got these I thought about returning them but the more I've had them I just loved them for their sound! I've tried headphones like the Sennheiser momentum 4 which are completely riddled with bugs. I like the Bose Ultra those are my travel headphones, but when I want to just sit back and listen to music at home these PX7S2E'S are amazing!
Pros: Good sound and light.
Cons: Not much worth mentioning.

High quality and great sound
Kelly from Vancouver, WA on 6/3/2024
Amazing sound and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. While the app doesn't allow for as an extensive amount of sound control, the sound is incredible out of the box and isn't needed. I would have liked to see more control over the ANC and transparency levels in the app, but again these are quite good to begin with. I have a small head and really appreciate the more snug- but not tight- and low profile fit of these headphones. They never felt like they would slip off even when bending over or moving around. The simplicity of the minimal but well placed buttons on the headphones was well thought out and easy to use and remember. I really liked how the main button was a different texture than the volume buttons to allow quick differentiation. They're very stylish and the green color is beautiful and does not show fingerprints. High quality headphones and worth the price.
Pros: Rich sound High quality feel and look Excellent noise cancelling and transparency modes Great fit for smaller heads
Cons: High price Doesn't fold down- large carry case App could use some additional sound controls for noise cancellation and transparency levels

Really great headphones
Really great set of noise cancelling headphones. Handles the NYC subway, noisy airplanes, trains, you name it. The only minor issue is with the device switching - occasionally it has some problems. Based on sound quality and build sturdiness, definitely 5 stars.
Pros: Great sound, noise cancelling, fit, and build quality
Cons: Device switching is sometimes weird

Pros: Light weight, great sound, very comfortable
Cons: None at this time.

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 S2e
LAURENT from Frankfurt am Main on 11/20/2023
I have been able to test several headphones and always had one complaint: Bathys - voice is slightly veiled, even changing to the dynamic mode, and sound stage is pretty flat Px8 - lacks good low bass response below 40Hz, lack of consistency, slightly boomy bass Px7 - same as Px8 Px7 S2 - same as Px8 AirpodsMax - clamp force too high, lack of treble, sound a bit analytical B&O H95 - was cleanest of all with a good sound stage, but sound stage is not as lively as on the Px7 S2E, even after EQ treble somewhat muted. Volume a bit low, especially on the treble front, it just does not scale well at high volume Before I tried the Px7 S2E, my favorite was the B&O H95, but now with the Px7 S2E I get a DSP that finally allows for high resolution audio to come alive. There is great sound stage and separation but at the same time the full frequency range feels cohesive and neutral. I feel the B&O H95 may be good for older listeners who don't notice lack of treble. The Px7 S2E however flatters the ear if you have great treble perception. The sound sounds full and enveloping, especially in Dolby Atmos. For example, in the first episode of Shadow and Bone Season 2's opening scene, you can hear the ocean and boat crackling and brise whistling on top of the dialogue, and the separation is incredible, you really feel immersed. When I listen to Troyanos's Eboli aria from Verdi's Dom Carlo, I notice violin detail that was not there on any
Pros: Neutral, lively, enveloping sound with great sound stage Plenty of volume reserve Strong, precise, punchy bass Great frequency response below 40Hz and above 10Khz Comfortable Nice design Good NAC and transparency mode Lightweight, great for traveling Incredible value for money, audiophile sound at a price lower than Sony or Bose
Cons: Switching between devices is not as good as H95, secondary device requires a manual connection, only primary device is always detected May not be as durable as H95, which has felt very sturdy for me, though remains to be seen

Customer service is inadequate
Steve from BLUFFTON, SC on 10/11/2023
Poor quality, ear cup detached from the right ear phone arm. I did not abuse the product, I'm a 70 year who takes care of his stuff. At the direction of Crutchfield I contacted B&W. They did not fix or replace, instead they said I would have to fix it myself. They told me the part to buy , they said they would pay for the part which they did not. I was told it was an easy repair to make. It is not, there were no instructions in the box with the new rubber ring. Look at the picture there is no way. To sum up poor quality and customer service
Pros: Good sound
Cons: Very poor workmanship Fell apart after minimal use Customer service should be better for the price you pay for product B&W did not pay for replacement parts as they said the would Replacement part doesn't fit

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 S2e
Brian from Niles, IL on 9/29/2023
After using earbuds for quite a while, bought headphones to up my audio game and try to get closer to my home stereo sound (vintage Marantz receiver and B&W speakers). Got the previous B&W px7 s2's and they were really good sounding, but disappointingly not as alive or open of a soundstage as the stereo system. Returned them and got these Px7 S2e's, and wow! So much more lively! Listening to lossless, hi-res lossless and Dolby atmos streams on Apple Music - individual instruments come alive. I am hearing parts in Beatles songs, Jazz standards, and symphonies I had never noticed before. These headphones sound great and the noise cancelling is better than my Bose Quiet Comfort earbuds. I am also thrilled to have real buttons for control instead of capacitive touch. Two thumbs up for these B&W Px7 S2e's!
