About the Sound Ordnance Bass Bunker

Bob Bihlmayer
Sound Ordnance's rugged Bass Bunker enclosures come built to last and ready to help your sub deliver real low-frequency firepower. These unloaded boxes feature high-grade, medium-density fiberboard construction, with sealed inner braces that help combat resonance by reducing vibrations. Rounded outside corners and recessed panels allow them to fit into more vehicles, while tough black carpeting defends against incoming nicks and scratches. Bass Bunkers make a great solution when building your own box is not an option.

Product Research

Features

Materials: The Sound Ordnance BB102-75S Bass Bunker is an unloaded, hatchback-style sealed enclosure for dual 10" subwoofers. It is constructed of 5/8" MDF (medium-density fiberboard), covered in black carpet.

Internal Box Volume: The enclosure has two separate chambers, each with 0.75 cubic feet of airspace.

Terminals: The BB102-75S is equipped with two pairs of spring-post speaker terminals, one for each chamber, mounted in the rear panel. The spring terminals will accept bare wire, pin connectors, and single banana plugs, but are spaced too far apart for dual banana plugs. Inside the enclosure, each set of terminals has an attached 18" length of speaker wire for connecting the subwoofer.

Brackets: Brackets for securing the enclosure to your vehicle are recommended.

Q
Does this box fix 2 JL Audio 10Tw3 ?
ghost  Aug 14, 2021
2 answers
A
This box sucks. Way to small. I put two entry level JL's in it and it sounds horrible. Since JL is supposed to make great subs, I'm blaming it on the box.
kevin  Aug 14, 2021
A
It will fit and mount up just fine, but it's not ideal for two reasons. 1. Those subs were designed to sound great in a smaller/thinner box with less airspace (.5cf per sub). If you already have the sub, look for a box with a .5cf per chamber. You would be running this sub outside of it's intended spec. 2. This box also completely defeats the purpose of this sub. If you want this sub, get a small box. If you want this box, get a different sub. The experts on here can help you decide. Let them know what you listen to, what it's going into, and they'll get you what you need.

Yes, I am 90% sure that it will fit in a 2003 Ford Mustang Convertible..My trunk in my 2001 Ford Mustang Cobra has very limited room for a box but when I purchased the Sound Ordinance Box it fit just fine with a little bit of wiggle room..So my guess is "yes", I do believe that it will fit in a 2003 Ford Mustang Convertible..May I recommend some Rockford Fosgate Punch Speakers to go inside the Sound Ordinance Box..They sound amazing..Good Luck to you and God Bless you
thomas  Aug 28, 2020
A
I don't have a 2003 mustang. But it should fit in your trunk just fine. Just make sure you dynamat The trunk lid, and the sides of the trunk.

how much does it weigh?
nathan  Jul 22, 2020

A
We don't have the weight of the box by itself. We do know the shipping weight (box, packaging, etc..) is 27 lbs which means the subwoofer box will weight a little less than 27 lbs
