About the Sound Ordnance™ B-17

Dominic DeVito
Sound Ordnance designed the B-17 bandpass subwoofer to be the bass fortress in your vehicle's sound system. Its 12" polypropylene woofer is mounted inside a sturdy enclosure, between an airtight sealed chamber and a second chamber that boasts a generous slot port for massive air movement. This bandpass design increases speaker efficiency, for impressive bass firepower from a relatively small box. Best of all, you can watch the woofer swing into action behind the clear acrylic front window.

Q
How many amps of current does this sub draw?
james  Aug 29, 2017

A
my amp is only 100 watts. its about 15 amps. but I have 8 gauge wire on it, with a 50 amp fuse. because the speaker is in closed the bass is louder so you dont need a big amp.

Q
What amp would best go with this Sound Ordnance sub?
allen  Jan 05, 2014

A
The best match for this subwoofer would be the Sound Ordnance M2100. It would actually be a PERFECT match. Not only is it the same brand but the power bridged into a 4 ohm load would be spot on.
