Small box, big punch

Solid bass, moves much air. Rich, deep bass without having to crank the amp or rachet the bass knob to max - comparable to my Alpine 12" R in a much larger ported box. Very happy with this. Upgraded from two years with a Sound Ordnance sealed box for my 10" Alpine X-W10D4. Sealed box was OK but only if I cranked the bass knob up to 11. I noticed an immediate improvement switching to this ported box, which is only a few inches wider, the same height, and almost the same depth as the sealed box - it fit perfectly in the floor of my F150 Supercrew backseat between the middle seat and console - allowing two backseat passengers or plenty of cargo to fit with no problems. Highly recommend this box for those needing a compact 10" subwoofer solution.

Great boxes

These are great boxes I wanted something smaller since I have a small suv but wanted ported so these worked perfect plus they are packed with styrofoam on the corners so not damaged in shipping speaker wire could be bigger that is the only dislike.

Brought my sub to life!!!

I know it's a prefab box but it brought my w6 to life.... It came in a box that was to big for it..... This one was the closest I could find and the price was where I needed it.... I added some foam blocks to bring it down to factory spec and Bam I got some great bass and it doesn't take up much space at all......

Small but mighty box

Box is built extremely solid and gives my powerbass m1004 a great sound in such a small space. I put this in a 2010 kia forte koup and it's the perfect size!

Ported enclosure

I'm very please with the box. I switched from a seal box to this one since I couldn't afford to get a stronger amp. Now with this box, I get a lot more bass from my 10 inch Kicker sub!

Very nice box. I had a speaker that I bought for a application and decided to put it in my kids first car. I wasn't sure how it would go because they didn't give much information to work with. I bought the version with vents to stay neutral. I am very happy with it. That speaker I used was a little bit over kill for that size box but the porting system is good. Breaths good and punches great ??

Solid construction

It's a nice box with solid construction. I'm not sure for my specific woofer if the volume was correct but it still sounded good. Ports didn't make any noise, I also liked the bracing and color of carpet. Nothing bad I can say about it.

Quality Construction

The Sound Ordinance Double Ported 10" Subwoofer Box is really well made inside and out. The attention to detail in the use of glue is remarkable both for the union of joints on the inside and the top grade felt (deep black) used to line the outside of the box. Most boxes have sloppy glueing that looks like a little kid did it. Not so with the 10" Sound Ordinance Dual Ported Box. The box weighs in at approximately 16 pounds and the wire connectors are of good quality.

The bass bunker has such good sound. My kickers were in a box from walmart and they didn't sound half as good as they do in these bass bunkers. I have two of these and I'm looking to buy two more and get two 12" kickers.

highly disappointed

I bought this to replace my 16 year old box. This box sounds like a sealed box with a hole in it.it does not hit low notes.it does not move a large volume of air like my old box.it sound like i downgraded my whole bass package i have jl audio w1v3-2 in it. 39hz is not low enough. The positive reviews are from people that dont know any better about how is bass supposed to sound.it is a good beginner box,perfect to just hold a woofer and not much more than that.

NICE BOX

Bought a base model 2012 Charger last summer. Wanted more bass, but not use too much trunk space. Went to Crutchfield.com and the advisor suggested this box. The bass is really nice, good low end sound for those who like hip hop or r&b music. I'm very satisfied with this sub box.

S/O Bass Bunker

I replaced my old sub box with this new Bass Bunker with the intensions of knowing that my sub woofer really needed to be replaced as well, boy was I wrong. This sub box brought my old sub to life, I am amazed how a well built ported box can change the sound of an old sub woofer........Thanks S/O for a great enclosure........

very surprised

I am actually very surprised with how great this box sounds... Have an interfire pro-v subwoofer getting 1000 true watts and this box slams. Even though it is tuned to 39hz, this box gets LOW!! if you have any doubts about this size or the ports on this box get rid of them. As long as you aren't putting a massive subwoofer in it that needs large amounts of airspace this box will do just fine. Very little if any port distortion that I can hear. I have a mustang gt convertible so I needed a relatively small box since the trunk is so small and this box fits in a mustang(so most likely it'll fit in your car too) and gets low and loud, couldn't ask for anything better... Just wait for it to go on sale again, this is the Best car audio deal I've prolly ever gotten.

Its a sub box

Its a sub box, it seems well built and sturdy. Has nice connectors on the back and comes with pre-soldered wires connected inside the box for connecting with the speaker.

Amazed at bass response

I received this box yesterday and installed a JL 10WX-4 sub, powering with a JL JS 250.1 amplifier and I was amazed at the amount of bass produced by this box. It replaced a 13" Focal in a custom enclosure and I had to turn down the subwoofer level as it was overpowering. I wanted to reduce the footprint of the speaker box in my Expedition but keep the big sound of the larger woofer and this box/woofer/amp combo so far are more than up to the task! Fit and finish appear very professional and well made. Only time will tell for the durability of the box.

This enclosure has a 10" JL W3, got Alpine MRP-500 for powering it and used Box Stuffing. Although the enclosure is a bit small - the difference for the deep bass is incredible.

Now That's what I'm Talking About!

First: thank you Crutchfield, yall have made everything so easy! Second: I ordered this enclosure and some RCA cables on Thursday, Friday i received the enclosure- Monday other should arrive. This enclosure has an old 10" JL W3 that I had re-coned, got a Crunch 1100 for power. Although the enclosure is a bit small - the difference for the deep bass - is unreal! The w3 needs that air to breath fo sure! Listen to just about everything- Hip-hop sounds the best, Rock w/ the kick drum- good. Overall would recommend this to anyone that wants good hard hitting, let people know where you are B A S S! (from a 10" that is)

This enclosure is great. I have a Alpine Type R powered with 500 Rockford Fosgate watts, and it sounded good in it's previous small sealed enclosure, but I read the reviews for this enclosure and decided to go for it, I'm just mad I waited so long. This thing slams! Like another reviewer earlier said, the bass isn't quite as accurate as before, but way more fun! Very well built as well, seems solid, carpet looks great. Only gripe: the cheesy "dog tags" that come with this are ridiculous.

Great box for the money!

This little compact box is excellent for the money. Ok, you cant really pack the box up and stow it in the glovebox, but it is a great size box, that does not take up much room. I must say that the sound quality that comes from this box is by far one on the most crisp and accurate sounds. The bass that comes out of the box sounds tremendous. Very well structured box, that comes with durability. Definitely reccomend this box for someone looking for some place to put that speaker you have floating around.

Hear the bass

I had an Alpine TypeR in a sealed enclosure. The sub always sounded good, tight, and accurate. This was probably because I sealed the sub into the box very well. The problem, it seems, was that I wanted more bass and to do that, I needed to increase the power to the sub or move to a vented enclosure. Since I didn't have enough power to use it in a sealed enclosure (300 RMS @ 2 Ohm) AND get the bass I want, I broke down and bought this box instead of replacing my amp. What a difference. I am no longer sending the sub tons of power. I can now turn it way up, feel it in my chest, rattle my mirrors, windows, and panels like crazy, and still have headroom. It is true the bass is not as accurate as my sealed enclosure, but this is sure more fun! If you are having doubts about this box, forget them.

Great Bass

I first had a bandpass JL box for the JL 10 W6 I have, and the box ended up cracking during a relocation in my vehicle. I chatted with a Crutchfield Tech who guided me towards this box with a pund of stuffing. Once I installed the sub and was banging again, I was dumbfounded at how much better sound quality I recieve from the box. All in all, it was a great buy!
