Great sound for a great price
Eric from Allendale, MI on 5/21/2025
1998 Porsche Boxster
Phenomenal sound for the price - I put these in our '98 Boxster as we blew one of the original dash speakers and these sound a LOT better than those ever did. The only critique I have is I wish Crutchfield sold a bracket for mounting them in this car. I found a youtube video on how to cut out the old speakers and re-use the original which worked.

Used these to replace factory speakers in the rear pods. Does have a brighter sound and noticeable mids improvement. I did add bass blockers before I read up on some forums that they weren't necessary for the rear per the factory tuning. Either way they sound better than before. For the price and quality and speed of shippng , grest purchase. Thanks Crutchfield
Pros: Good clear sound, good price

Adapting speakers to original grills.
Hubert from Hiawassee, GA on 4/27/2023

Good speakers; however, the installation will require the reuse of the old speakers foundation base: i.e., "chop-ouit" old speaker; clean-up mounting surface; epoxy new speaker onto the mounting piece screwed back onto the speaker grills.
Pros: Good price; good sound qualirty.
Cons: Must be mounted on modified, old base piece.

These Speakers sound great and fit perfectly in the factory location I wish they were a little bit louder but other than that they're absolutely wonderful
Pros: Great quality built perfect factor location fit
Cons: Could be louder but hats not really a speaker problem it's how the factory manufacturers are making fronts bigger than backs . Which I may be old school but makes no sense to me

Blown away by the sound quality at this price!
Crutchfield customer from PORTLAND, OR on 5/27/2022
1985 Ford Ranger
Bought an old '85 Ranger for "household" duties and as a backup vehicle; base model with just 2 dash speakers from the factory - although they were replaced with aftermarket at some point - they were badly worn out and fuzzy sounding. Just installed these last night and was ABSOLUTELY blown away at the clarity; even a respectable low end response for a 4" speaker. Running just off head unit power; I was not expecting much and planned on putting a small sub behind the seat one day - but for now these two speakers alone already made the drive today much more enjoyable. Putting the sticker on my pickup and my son loved the dog-tag necklace :)
Pros: Fantastic value, quality construction, shallow basket to avoid potential clearance problems in some vehicles.
Cons: None at all.

Easy install, good value, but I would not recommend these for behind the seat. They're just not built for that level. I have an alpine head unit, these only sounded good through a wide range of volume at a flat equalizer setting. 2 days after install, one started popping. A larger size would be better for behind the seat.
Pros: installation instructions, wiring, mounting gear came with. Great price.

Second rate speakers. I replaced the 23 year old OEM speakers in my Toyota because the paper cones had dried out and completely torn at the perimeter. These speakers are not disintegrating like my old ones, so the sound is a bit cleaner. But, they distort the audio in their own way. The low end is just not quite there, and the rest of the audible range is just so inconsistent that nothing sounds quite right. They are not so bad that I will go through the trouble to put the old ones back, but I do regret putting these in.
Pros: Cones are polypropylene so I certainly hope they will out-live my car.
Cons: I needed to drill holes in parts of my car (which I don't like one bit) to put in worse speakers than were already there.

Fit perfect and sound great. I had original factory speakers in my '98 Toyota Avalon, and they were blown out. So, of course I noticed a HUGE difference. Installation took just a couple of tools, and the instructions made it super easy. Hint to those installing - If you have to splice and use the new wire connections to the speaker like I did make sure you mark the factory wires going to your speaker. Mine were both black, and after cutting off both connectors I couldn't tell the two wires apart.

Defiantly not used for high bass, I would recommend buying a sub and amp if you're looking for bass. Great Sound for Great Value!!!
Dan from Glendale, AZ on 8/29/2016
The fitment guide said that the 4" speakers were the largest that would fit in the rear doors. After disassembling the door panel, I think the 5-1/4" or 6" speakers would have fit easily. I decided to install them anyway, and if I didn't like them I would swap them out later. To my surprise these speakers sounded great! They compliment the Sound Ordance P-65CB speakers up front really well, filling the rear stage with highs, mid-range, and even some bass! Well done Sound Ordance!

1999 Toyota Tercel
These speakers whenever I turned the volume to half, not full power of my Pioneer (50w x 4) (14w rms) stereo head unit started to make a loud cracking noise, like if the speakers were blown or something like that, unlike the Awesome "Sound Ordnance 6x9 2-way speakers" I bought from here, these 4 inch Sound Ordnance speakers failed to meet my expectations, maybe they weren't made to handle the kind of power my stereo has, or maybe I got a defective pair, who knows? Anyways I didn't liked how they sounded and returned to Crutchfield for a full refund that I got with no problems at all, so many thanks to Crutchfield and team for a hassle free return & refund.
Pros: Of the speakers, None that I can think of... Of the Crutchfield customer service, well a hassle free return & refund.
Cons: These speakers lacks a lot on the high notes, they don't sound crisp & clear.
