Features
Statement Series: The Grado Statement Series headphones has been upgraded with new drivers, new cables, and beautiful wood housings to create the warm signature Grado sound. The GS3000x over-ear headphones have an open-back design for a spacious soundstage. Each Statement Series headphone is hand-assembled in the Grado Lab facility in Brooklyn, NY.
Metal and Wood Housing: The GS3000x features a newly developed housing with a metal chamber surrounded by a a single-piece cocobolo wood. The mass of the cocobolo wood and metal controls the rigidity of the new 52mm X drivers. The beautiful patterns of color and texture, along with the rich sonic properties of the wood, make the new flagship GS3000x the best sounding Grado headphone ever. The ear cups are attached to the headband with durable metal gimbals for long life.
X Drivers: The new 4th generation X Drivers are the largest drivers ever used in a Grado headphone. These "de-stressed" 52mm drivers are specifically tuned to bring out the warmth of the cocobolo wood, while the powerful magnets deliver more power and better dynamics. The voice coil has a decreased effective mass and the redesigned diaphragms greatly improve efficiency, reduces distortion, and produces a full-bodied sound. Each driver is carefully selected for the headphones, and are matched to within 0.05dB for a consistent performance.
Cable: The GS3000x features a redesigned 12-conductor cable with a more durable braided exterior. The super-annealed copper brings out more detail in your music. The 6-1/2 foot cable is terminated with a gold-plated 1/4" (6.3mm) plug with a straight molded sleeve. A 1/4" to 1/8" (3.5mm) adapter cable is available (sold separately), if needed.
Headband: The headphones have an upgraded black leather headband with an eye-catching white stitching on both sides.
Replaceable Cushions: The high-quality extra-large foam rubber circum-aural ear cushions can be removed for cleaning, if needed. If they show signs of wear, you can replace them with the Grado Replacement Cushion G.
Note: The headphone's ear cushions are not covered in the manufacturer's one-year warranty.
