GS300X

Have had my pair for the last 3 weeks or so. Well over a hundred hours on them. I've had most all of the standard production Grado headphones at one time or another. Never had a GS series though until now. Oh my gosh. These are incredible. I've seen reviewers talk about timbre but never really understood what that meant. I sure do now. The music is perfectly balanced from the bass to the treble. It's one continuous blended range. These have more bass than any other Grado I've heard. It's tight, well controlled, and deep. Perfect for my taste. There is a well developed 3D soundstage (right/left, Up/down, forward/backward). They sound very "airy" in a way I've not experienced previously. Instrument separation is very clear. They are a warmer sounding headphone (at least with my setup and an OTL Tube amp). I don't hear any shrillness, that some of the other Grado models have. They have a new, wider headband that increases in the comfort level, from my perspective. I highly recommend these. I like them so much I'm selling most of my other Grado's, as well as some of my other high-end Headphones from other manufacturers. Leo
Pros: Timbre Bass Treble Construction
Cons: No detachable cables (an age old complaint)
