Features
Vehicle Compatibility: The iDatalink Maestro KIT-EDG3 consists of a dash kit and vehicle harness designed specifically for select 2015-2020 Ford Edge vehicles (with factory 4.2" or 8" factory radio screen and without Sony Amplified System). The KIT-EDG3 lets you replace the factory radio with a modular-style Pioneer receiver equipped with the iDatalink Serial Port using the Maestro RR or RR2 Car Radio Replacement Interface module (sold separately).
- Vehicle Compatibility: Click here for a list of compatible Ford Edge vehicles.
- Radio Compatibility: Only works with Pioneer modular receivers with a 8" or 9" touchscreen monitor (DMH-C2550NEX, DMH-C5500NEX, DMH-WC5700NEX, and DMH-WC600NEX)
Note: The iDatalink Maestro KIT-EDG3 requires the purchase of the iDatalink Maestro RR or RR2 (sold separately) and the download of a vehicle specific firmware from iDatalink's Weblink Desktop (for Windows and Mac).
Head Unit Connection: The KIT-EDG3 supports iDatalink's ACC-HU-PIO1 adapter harness for direct connection to a compatible 8" or 9" Pioneer modular-style receiver (including the DMH-C5500NEX, DMH-WC5700NEX, and DMH-WC600NEX) - replacing the wiring harness that comes with your aftermarket stereo (some hardwiring may still be required).
Flashing Module via Weblink Desktop: The iDatalink Maestro RR or RR2 will need to be loaded with correct firmware before installation. The included USB cable plugs into your computer and allows you to "flash" the Maestro RR or RR2 with the appropriate firmware to prepare it for installation. Simply download Weblink Desktop (for Windows and Mac) onto your computer to access the appropriate firmware.
Factory Fit & Finish Kit: The KIT-EDG3 Installation Integration Kit features a factory grade fit & finish to match the contour and color of your vehicle's dash. The dash kit fits 2019-2023 Pioneer modular-style receivers with 8" or 9" touchscreen monitor (such as the DMH-C5500NEX, DMH-WC5700NEX, and DMH-WC600NEX).
Retained Features: The following factory features (if applicable) are retained when replacing your factory radio with a compatible Pioneer modular-style receiver using the Maestro RR or RR2 Car Radio Replacement Interface module and KIT-EDG3 installation package.
- Climate Display & Control: Climate display and control can be done through the aftermarket radio's touchscreen monitor.
- Vehicle Settings: Access and modify factory vehicle settings through the compatible aftermarket head unit's touchscreen.
- Secondary Vehicle Display: Secondary vehicle display is retained (if factory equipped) with audio information, hands-free information, and internal navigation.
- Steering Wheel Controls: Factory steering wheel controls are retained with two function buttons and expandable radio functions.
- Advanced Camera Features: Factory backup camera is retained with parking guidelines, as well the factory 360 camera. If you add an aftermarket front camera (sold separately) to your iDatalink compatible head unit that is equipped with multiple camera inputs, the vehicle's factory auto camera switching feature is also retained.
- Warning Chimes with Park Assist: Factory warning chimes (including Park Assist) are retained through the use of the KIT-EDG3 installation kit.
USB Hub: The KIT-EDG3 comes with a USB Hub that consists of a USB housing and bracket, plus a 59" USB-C extension cable and 59" USB-A extension cable that mount in the USB housing and plug into the rear-panel USB-A and USB-C ports on the back of your compatible aftermarket stereo. The included USB housing and bracket replace the factory USB Media Hub that is mounted in the factory pocket location of the dash.
Note: As long as your new aftermarket receiver has a high-amperage charging port (1.5A or greater), the USB ports should support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto operation. However, the number of variables involved means we can't guarantee compatibility.
Extra Features:The following extra features are retained when replacing your factory radio with a compatible Pioneer modular-style receiver using the Maestro RR or RR2 Car Radio Replacement Interface module and KIT-EDG3 installation packages.
- Vehicle Info: Tire Pressure Display, Battery Voltage Display, Read/Reset Engine Codes, and Door Open Status with Warning.
- Gauges: Selectable Performance Gauges, "Track Pack" Gauges, and Read/Reset Check Engine Codes.
Outputs: The KIT-EDG3 provides Navigation, Accessory Power, and Illumination Outputs to make installation simpler.
- Navigation: Parking Brake, Reverse Light, and VSS (Vehicle Speed Sense).
- Accessory Power Output: 12V/15A Accessory Power Output
- Illumination Output: Illumination Output
