Nice kit
Michael from NJ on 2/21/2025
I have a 2012 ford flex with sony, sync, and nav. I got everything to work but took a couple tries. Some of the instructions are not very detailed. There is some trimming of the plastic inside the dash. How much you need to trim depends on the size of the radio going in. You will need to swap one of the connectors on the maestro to get the back up cam to work. Tech support helped me with that. Crutchfield tech support is awesome as usual!
Pros: massive time saver
Cons: some of the details with plastic trimming are not detailed. Notes on which connector to use would help. 2 look exactly the same.

Plug and play, excellent
Parke from Atlanta, GA on 1/3/2025

The maestro wiring diagram could use a little work, but overall this is a true plug and play kit, and worked phenomenally. Props to Maestro for having such good customer service to help walk through some of the trickier parts of the install. If you are unfamiliar with this work, it will probably take you the whole day to figure it all out and finish it up. But now that I've done it once I could probably do it again in about 3 hours

The unit works fairly well. The cons that I have experienced are; the resolution on the camera and brightness is less than factory using the factory camera, the user screen is less customizable than I believed it to be, and the gauge selections are fewer than expected. Some of this is due to vehicle model and or the head unit selected.

This was the perfect kit needed to replace the oem Sony Nav in my 2011 Ford F150 Platinum. This kit paired with the Maestro RR2 allowed me to keep my factory controls for a/c and other functions. It's worth the price for the convenience added to the install.

FOR1 Dash and Wiring Kit for 2010 F150
Jason from Lindale, TX on 11/29/2023

Great kit to go along with the iDatalink Maestro RR. Everything was plug and play and cut the install time down considerably. Highly recommend. Installed with a Kenwood receiver in a 2010 F150 that had Factory Navigation.
Pros: ease of install no splicing of wires plug and play
Cons: alot more wires to conceal requires the Maestro RR or RR2

I think your product is a 10 on a 10 scale. I was able to upgrade my 2012 Ford F150 FX2 to a Sony XAV-AX4000 stereo. It is so nice to have Apple CarPlay and access to Navigation (Waze and Google Maps.). They quit updating my Ford navigation in 2009. The system looks beautiful and I can hear my Pandora and Amazon Music. I couldn't be happier. Thank you Crutchfield.

8 pin connector not used 2011 F150 Raptor
Mark from UT on 5/26/2023
2011 Ford F-150 Raptor
The wiring kit works great, but for a 2011 F150 Raptor with factory navigation and subwoofer, there is an 8 pin connector that is not used and the documentation doesn't state anything about this. Combined with the Maestro RR flashing read twice error (due to something else), it made for some head-scratching. The directions stated that some wires wouldn't be used for this application, but nothing about the 8 pin connector, which made me think I either dropped a wiring harness into the void, or someone messed with the wiring in my truck and it wasn't going to work. Eventually got everything working.

Best overall package
Luis from Miami, FL on 2/26/2023
2011 Ford F-150 Raptor
This is everything you'd need to change the factory head unit for another receiver. It has the brackets, the bezek, the harness, everything. I would recommend paring this with the maestro RR and also use the REadyHarness offered. It made the installation a breeze, plug and play basically. Some trimming is needed to fit the new radio. This is stated in the instructions however the plastics that needed to be cut are thick, and it takes more that a basic razor blade and common tools, it can be done but I found it best to get a professional to do this part, just the trimming.
Pros: Plug and play, easy, all in one package
Cons: Some trimming is necessary and basic tools make it more challenging.

Nice Kit
Phonexay from York, SC on 12/30/2022
2011 Ford F-150 Raptor
Was very nice an straight forward. Great instruction. My only complaint was that there was one connector of the main 3 on the T-harness that was not a match for my vehicle (2011 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor). Truck was a 10 pin and kit came with an 8 pin. Crutchfield and iData said it was for the factory subwoofer and that it was unnecessary? Didn't matter because I was bypassing the factory sub anyway, but I didn't like that.

2011 Ford F-150 Raptor
Installed this in a 2011 Ford Raptor with Sony SYNC, factory nav and factory sub woofer. I replaced the factory stereo with a Kenwood DMX907S. For the most part the install was straight forward and easy. However i did run into 2 issues. Only 2/3 plugs would plug into the factory harness and the factory subwoofer would not work after install. I tried to modify the 3rd plug on the FOR1 harness to fit the factory plug which i was able to do but still no subwoofer. I even had Crutchfield on the phone and used the support.com app to show the tech the harness in real time using my camera like a mobile zoom meeting. Still no luck. So if anyone is able to use this and get the sub to work, please write a review. 2nd issue was with the OBD plug. After plugging it in to my OBD port and putting the truck in drive i got a wrench icon and the truck went into limp mode. After i shut the truck off and unplugged the FOR1 OBD plug the truck ran fine and has been working fine since. Other than that i'm very happy with the kit and very excited to have Carplay in a vehicle that was once thought not to be able to upgrade from SYNC 1. Also very pleased with Crutchfield support
Pros: Simple install keeps steering wheel controls keeps hard buttons carplay clean, professional looking install
Cons: factory sub woofer doesn't work OBD port issues
