Great doorbell video

Looks good. Does the job. Easy to install. You may need to update the transformer in your doorbell. I had to do that as the original was not powerful enough to ring the indoor chime. Bought one online for $16. Works great.

Google Nest Doorbell Wired (2nd gen)

Replaced old nest doorbell which had failed with 2nd gen. Installed 2nd gen one week ago. Setup is a challenge. I wish it had better night vision and color. When I installed nest equipment 4to5 years ago they helped over the phone ,now customer service from nest or google is by computer , no person to person by phone. As more companies are going this route and some with a language barrier all they care about is sales. I have been with Crutchfield for many years and they still have good help over the phone and customer service.
Pros: Wiring part was simple.
Cons: Poor customer service from Nest/Google. New Google operation isn't as simple as older Nest .

Google Nest Doorbell Wired (2nd gen)

I am very please with the doorbell. Installation was easy. I also appreciated the Crutchfield discount at the time of purchase.
Pros: The camera and the audio are very clear.
Cons: The only issue was the stripping of the very small security screw.

Works As Advertised

Great doorbell camera, great picture quality, easy to setup, good color options, and integrates very well with Google Home. (Kinda anonying you can't add it to an existing Nest app). The only downside is that the camera is slightly larger than you expect it to be. Unlike most of Google's competitors, this doorbell camera is very large and is extremely noticeable. Not worth taking off a star as the dimensions listed on our site, but I do think it's worth noting.
Pros: Great video quality. Activities are easy to scrub though and find what you're looking for.

Perfect Replacement Doorbell Cam

After struggling with 2 previous doorbell cameras, the Nest Doorbell wired 2nd gen exceeded my expectations. The IPhone app instantly connects to the live view and history with no lag time, this was a problem with previous doorbells. I'm not sure but I think the 2.4 & 5 GHz option eliminated previous connectivity issues. Has a nice vertical view for package deliveries and full body image. I'm using the people and package options only since my street has a lot of vehicle traffic and I have not had a false vehicle notification yet. My transformer is the minimum required 16V 10VA and works fine with the existing doorbell chime.

Picture perfect

Great video quality blows my ring doorbell out the water! The instructions for this doorbell are very easy to follow, and make this a very easier do it yourself project for anyone. There are some let downs:
Pros: Picture quality is truly amazing, I can see the hair on a fly's rear end!
Cons: 1. You almost always need to buy a separate mounting bracket. The one supplied doesn't give the right angle to view visitors. 2. I haven't been able to connect this doorbell to my indoor chime. I've followed all the instructions to a T. I will be calling Crutchfield when I get the time. Their customer service is always top notch, ultimate professionals! 3. The Google apps do not talk to each other. You need to set up on Google home then set up on Google nest. Not super intuitive.
