Features

Marine Certified: The JBLPRV275 gauge-style marine receiver has been engineered and tested for use in the harsh marine environment. The receiver features a solid aluminum chassis, front-panel protective gasket, and IP6 waterproof face. The receiver also meets or exceeds ASTM117 salt fog standards.

2.7" Color Screen: The gauge-style marine receiver is equipped with a 2.7" color screen for indicating song/artist/album information (no album art) and provides video display of a connected camera (sold separately). The brightness level of the display can be set from 0 to 5.

Built-in 4Ch Amplifier + 6Ch RCA Outputs: The JBLPRV275 marine receiver is equipped with a 50 Watts (Peak) x 4ch amplifier that is 2-ohm stable. The marine unit is also fitted with three pair of RCA outputs (Front/Rear/Sub) to connect external an amplifier(s) and/or powered subwoofer.

Audio Settings: The subwoofer output offers a variable low-frequency crossover (80/120/160Hz) and adjustable volume level (0-20). The marine receiver features 5 EQ preset modes - Flat, Classic, Pop, Rock, or Off.  The marine head unit also offers independent Bass, Midrange, and Treble control (-7 to + 7); along with Balance (L12 to R12) & Fade (F12 to R12) adjustment. When listening to music at low volume levels, the Loudness feature will boost the bass & treble response. Every time a button is pressed the unit outputs a beep tone (this can be turned off).

AM/FM/WB Tuner: The JBLPRV275 marine receiver features a built-in AM/FM tuner with manual, seek, and preset tuning. You can select either US or European tuning. It also features a built-in weather band tuner. You can store up to 18  presets each for AM, FM, and WB. Stations can be stored manually or automatically. There is Preset Scan function that scans each preset station in the current band for 6 seconds.

Bluetooth Audio Streaming: The JBLPRV275 supports wireless audio playback (AD2P) and control (AVRCP) of a Bluetooth source device, such as your smartphone or tablet. You'll be able to wirelessly stream stored music, music apps and other audio content on your Bluetooth source device to the marine receiver. You'll also be able to control basic playback functions (such as Play/Pause & Previous/Next Track) from the receiver's front-panel. In addition, song/artist/album info (no album art) will be displayed on the unit's front-panel. You can only pair and connect one Bluetooth source device at a time.

Note: This unit does not support Bluetooth hands-free communication for making and answering phone calls.

USB Port: The JBLPRV275 is equipped with a rear-panel USB (type-A) port attached to the chassis by a 6.5" pigtail. The USB port allows you to connect a USB thumbdrive. The unit supports audio playback & control of MP3/WMA audio files stored on a compatible USB thumbdrive. The unit offers Play/Pause, Fast Forward/Reverse, Previous/Next Track, and Random/Repeat playback functions. The Intro Scan feature allows you to locate and play the first 6 seconds of each MP3/WMA track on a USB stick. This unit will also display song/artist information. The USB port (5V/0.5A) can also charge the battery of some USB devices.

Note: The unit's USB port does not support Apple iOS or Android OS devices.

Aux Input: This unit features a rear mounted, stereo RCA auxiliary input on a 6.5" pigtail so you can connect an external audio source. An RCA-to-Minijack cable (sold separately) will be required for the connection of a portable audio player with a headphone jack output.

Camera Input: This JBLPRV275 marine receiver features a composite video jack attached to rear chassis via a 6.5" pigtail for adding a marine-grade camera (sold separately).

Mounting Options: The marine receiver features a gauge-style design and fits into a 3.375" round opening. If you don't have an existing gauge-opening in your boat, you will need to make a 3.375" diameter cutout in the bulkhead. The integrated protective gasket, supplied U-bracket, and included hardware secure the unit in place against the mounting surface.

  • Cutout Dimensions: 3.375" (diameter) x 3.4375" (depth)
  • Front-Panel Dimensions: 4.235" (diameter) x 1.25" (depth)

Note: The receiver does not meet the dimensions or include a mounting sleeve or ISO-mount screw holes to accommodate standard automotive installation.

Optional Wired Remote: The JBLPRV275 supports the connection of the MIL-REM70 marine wired remote control (sold separately). The MIL-REM70 marine wired remote features a 2.375" (diagonal) LCD screen to indicate source and menu selection (does not display song/artist/album information). The MIL-REM70 marine wired remote offers the following push-button controls for your compatible marine stereo receiver.

  • Power On/Off
  • Mode (Source Selection)
  • Volume Up/Down
  • Select (Menu Select)
  • Tune Up/Down (press once for Previous Next/Track or press-and-hold for Fast Forward/Rewind)

Q
I have a 5 speaker + 1 sub setup. Receiver will run to the amp. It looks like from the diagram this has Front, Back, AUX, and SUB RCA Pre-outs. Would the AUX pre-out work for the 5th speaker?

Greetings. Thank you for your question. The JBL stereo has 6 channel preamp outputs, front rear, and subwoofer. The Auxiliary is an input, like from an MP3 player, or portable satellite radio etc. we would need to take a look at the actual amplifier to recommend how to connect this or any stereo. Call one of our advisors at 800-324-9695 with your amplifiers model numbers please.

Q
Will this unit control speakers with led lights in them?
ron  Oct 10, 2024
1 answer
A
Hey Ron, thanks for the question. This JBL headunit can power the speakers themselves but will not be able to manage your LED lights. Then again if your LED lights are just a static non-changing color, you technically do not have to have anything managing them.

Q
Can SiriusXM be hooked up?
ronald  Jun 15, 2024
1 answer
A
This JBL does not have a Sirius XM input so the only way you could use Sirius XM would be to Bluetooth from your phone, the SXM app.

Q
Prv 275 with JBL MA4505 and MA704 amps. MA 4505 controls my tower speakers and sub. JBL sub does a loud bass sound pop when turn ignition off on the boat through the sub. Everything is grounded and connected correct. Sub is connected via Sub onMA 4505. Didn't do this with my old PMX 2 head unit. No clue why it does this. If I turn off the PRV275 before I turn off ignition it doesn't pop but that cannot be normal operation for a marine unit?

Q
Can you turn off the display/screen while music continues to play? We'd like to be able to cruise in our boat at night, playing music without the bright light of the stereo on.

I know that you can adjust the brightness. I would look in the manual provided for that answer.
