I am very happy with this turntable, and thankful that the cartridge was pre-installed. Never owed a high- quality turntable before, I was taken aback by the motor assembly totally isolated. I guess you just one just eyeball center the motor in the plinth hole. Only complaint is that the instruction could have been more detailed, especially for people like myself. Anyway, the turntable is working fantastic and sounds beautiful.

Pros: Tonearm, motor, quality, finish

Cons: Instructions! Anti-skating set-up a little touchy for shaky hands, but working fine.

The construction is very well done and aesthetically, it is pleasing. This do not negate the lack of a final inspect to catch the defect in the arm alignment. The arm is obstructed by the half round support mechanism before the play is completed. It is worst for the 45 than for the LP. It just hung up.

Very nice turntable. It is running about 1% fast and I was hoping for more accurate speed.

Handsome turntable. Conrad stirred me in the right direction. Really like the Ortofon 2M Bronze cartridge. Hearing things I never noticed on my albums. Very low to no surface noise. Like the fact the stylus can be replaced instead of redoing the whole cartridge as on a moving coil cartridge. For my present set up the Ortofon is a great match. And if you want to upgrade at a later date the tonearm is a good match for a lot of high end MC cartridges. Like the fact the motor is isolated from the plinth. Also, like the fact you can change speeds without changing the belt.

Pros: Handsome turntable. High quality, with a great sounding cartridge.

Cons: None so far.

Not what I was expecting

I am not happy with my purchase of the Music Hall MMF-7-3. I have set up many turtables before but this is a pain. The turntable comes with the tonearm set up except for the counter weight, so this mostly is no problem. How ever it comes with many small parts in bags that just seem to complicate putting everything together. It has three feet on the bottom to help level the turntable as needed, but the disc that they give you to protect your stand from the sharp feet are a joke. I have my turntable mounted on a wall platform, so placing the disc under the feet and trying to power the motor and connect the cables will make you say words you should not say. The feet are very small and cheaply made, not what I want on a turntable at this price point. The motor just sits in a hole in the body on a steel puck, Lining this up is a matter of trail and error, a lot of error. I should have spent more money on a different turntable. It would also help if the Music Hall website had a video to refer to when setting up their turntables. Welcome to the new way of doing things.

Pros: looks good

Cons: could be better made

Absolutely outstanding. The quality and definition of the sound from my lps is far beyond what my previous turntable could produce and i always thought that it was excellent. It's expensive, but if you really care about the sound from your system this is the way to go.

Pros: Performs flawlessly Magnificent sound
