The ACRO BE100 features Astell&Kern's distinctive industrial look, with angled surfaces that accentuate the interplay between light and shadow. And just like with the company's portable digital players, that look is paired here with exceptional sound quality. This convenient self-powered speaker supports high-res Bluetooth streaming. And it has a 3.5mm stereo minijack so you can make a wired connection from your devices.
High-performance drivers and amplification
Inside the ACRO BE100 are three custom-made drivers. Two 1-1/2" silk dome tweeters give you clean, clear high frequencies. The 4" Kevlar® woofer offers fast transient response for accurate midrange and bass. The drivers are housed in a rear-ported enclosure that improves efficiency and bass response. And they're powered by a custom-designed 55-watt Class D amplifier that safely pushes the drivers to their limit for big, powerful sound.
High-res wireless options
The ACRO BE100 features Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX® HD and LDAC support. These formats let you stream high-resolution content without losing fidelity. And of course, the speaker's compatible with lower-res Bluetooth formats as well. The built-in high-resolution 32-bit DAC gives you extremely accurate sound from all your digital music sources.

2-Way Driver Design: The Astell & Kern ACRO BE100 Bluetooth speaker features a customized two-way driver design with two 1.5" silk dome tweeters for crystal clear high frequencies and one 4" cone woofer made with and ultra-durable, yet lightweight Kevlar fabric for fast transient response and more accurate bass performance. Astell & Kern worked tirelessly to find the ideal location for the tweeters and woofer on front of the speaker cabinet to deliver broad stereo sound. The drivers are housed in a bass reflex enclosure with rear-firing port for increased efficiency and bigger bass. The Bluetooth speaker system has a frequency response of 50 to 20,000Hz.
55W Class D Amplifier: The ACRO BE100 Bluetooth speaker employs a high-end 55W Class-D amplifier to consistently deliver optimum sound quality as close to the original sound the artist and producer intended. 15 watts is delivered to each tweeter, while 25 watts is delivered to the woofer. Astell & Kern applied their own AMP design technology to the ACRO BE100 to produce real HiFi sound without distortion while comfortably reaching the maximum output power of the speaker. It creates a clear sound while preventing the mixing of different frequency ranges by using a Digital Crossover. In addition, dynamic range control (DRC) is used to protect the speaker unit at its maximum output power.
32-Bit HiFi DAC with Low Jitter: Unlike many other Bluetooth speakers that simply use the Bluetooth chip's embedded DAC, the ACRO BE100 utilizes a dedicated 32-bit HiFi DAC (digital-to-analog converter) to get the most detailed and authentic sound out of your wireless music. Furthermore, to minimize Jitter (the undesired deviation in time from the transmitted signal) the ACRO BE100 is equipped with a 50ps clock to produce incredibly accurate sound.
Bluetooth 5.0: The Astell & Kern ACRO BE100 features built-in Bluetooth 5.0 with support for wireless music streaming (A2DP) and control (AVRCP) - up to 33'. You'll be able to wirelessly stream stored music, music apps, and other audio content on your Bluetooth-enabled smartphone, table, laptop, or computer to the ACRO BE100. You'll also be able to control Play/Pause and Previous/Next Tracks from the speaker's top-panel controls. In addition to Bluetooth's standard SBC codec and Apple's AAC codec, the ACRO BE100 supports aptX HD and LDAC codecs to wirelessly transmit high-quality sound.
- aptX HD: Support for Qualcomm's aptX HD codec provides much higher-quality sound than previous Bluetooth codec versions (such as SBC or AAC). aptX HD preserves sound data through the wireless audio transmission, resulting in a "better-than-CD-quality " (24-bit/48kHz) listening experience. aptX HD is available in a growing number of Android mobile devices and Mac computers.
- LDAC: LDAC is an audio coding technology developed by Sony that enables the transmission of High-Resolution Audio content (up to 24-bit/96kHz) via Bluetooth for an enhanced wireless listening experience. LDAC is found on newer Sony Xperia phones and a growing number of newer Android smartphones and tablets.
Note: You can pair multiple devices with the ACRO BE100, but only one source device can be connected for playback at a time.
Aux Input: In addition to Bluetooth wirelessly connectivity, the Astell & Kern ACRO BE100 is outfitted with a rear-panel 3.5mm Aux input for a wired connection of an external audio source device.
Top-Panel Controls: The ACRO BE100 features convenient top-panel controls, including an aluminum 3-way knob that allows you to fine tune the Bluetooth speaker's volume level. The area just below the volume control illuminates and acts as an indicator, flashing different colors for each mode or volume level, helping you to easily identify the speaker status and control it intuitively. The other top-panel controls are push-button - including Play/Pause, Previous/Next Track, Bass & Treble, and Pairing.
Front-Panel Display: A front-panel text display indicates Bluetooth status (Pairing and Mode), Aux Input, as well as Bass & Treble levels (01/2/3/4/5).
Note: The front-panel display does not offer song/artist/album information.
AC Power Adapter: The Astell & Kern ACRO BE100 comes with an AC power adapter (attached 8' cord) that will need to be plugged into the back of the speaker and into an AC wall outlet or surge protector (sold separately - see Accessories Tab).
Note: The ACRO BE100 is not battery powered.
Mounting Options: The Astell & Kern ACRO BE100 Bluetooth speaker can simply be placed on a flat tabletop surface such as a desk, counter-top, nightstand, or bookshelf. Make sure to leave a couple of inches between the back wall and the Bluetooth speaker's rear-firing port.
Note: The ACRO BE100 does not offer any bracket, keyhole slot, or threaded insert to wall-mount the speaker.
