What A Great Upgrade
Gary from SAN DIEGO, CA on 7/7/2025
I have had Polk 75T Monitors in my 2 channel music system for over 10 years and decided it was time to upgrade. I originally tried Polk R600's but they were not much better than the 75T's. I decided on the Martin Logan Motion Foundation F1's. The results were better than expected. They are hooked up to a Yamaha A-S501 amplifier which has no problem driving them. The clarity of these speakers is excellent but what really got my attention was the widened sound stage. WOW! You hear so much more when it comes to the total instruments in the recording as well as the life like detail of the vocals. I have about 50 hours on them and they already sound great. Vinyl sounds amazing which is what I listen to the most. One other thing. I decided to try "Open Box" F1's that were $100 off each speaker. They were packed so well you would not notice they had been opened. They still looked new so keep this in mind if you ever want to consider an open box at Crutchfield. I am completely satisfied with this purchase and would recommend you audition these speakers if you are considering an upgrade. Thanks to Crutchfield for fast shipping and great support.
Pros: Vocal clarity, widened sound stage, look beautiful.
Cons: None.

Great value for these entry-level Martin Logan's
Raul from Miami Gardens, FL on 4/13/2025
These are great sounding speakers, especially considering their price. Folded motion technology tweeters are excellent. Wide sound stage and good balance. They blend well with my Martin Logan 10 inch subwoofer. I highly recommend these anyone looking for really good speakers for under 1500 a pair.

ML Foundation F1
James from Goodyear, AZ on 3/14/2025
Review for Walnut ML F1's. Overall I like this speaker and it is one of my three favorites. Added the ML Foundation 10 sub (this is a must) and I really like what I'm hearing. The reason for the 4 and not 5 star rating is the lack of bass. I have some Polk Lsi9 bookshelves that have more low end grunt. Having said that, add the ML sub and you have a winner. But now I'm rethinking this purchase and maybe should have moved up to the F10's, not necessarily for the low end specs, but overall sound . I believe the F10's have a slightly larger ribbon tweeter and upgraded crossover. Equipment used: Parasound Pre200, Outlaw Audio 2200 Monoblocks, Marantz CD6007, and Mogami cables and wires. Regardless of the 4 star rating I really like these ML's. Perhaps if I could have rated them a 4.5!
Pros: Build Quality, Looks, Clarity, Separation, Sound stage (need to spend a little time getting them set up just right!)
Cons: My opinion is you really need to consider adding the ML Foundation 10 Sub.

Overall Good Floor-standers
John from New Castle, PA on 2/13/2024
The ML Foundation F1 speakers have a balance nutural sound with the exceptiion of the motion tweeter system, for my taste a little bright. Overall in the right size room 200 sq ft and above they have a bigger open sound and you can actually hear the base drivers much better. Closed in you only appreciate the mid and hi tones. For the money they are better IMO, than a lot of the other speakers in this space.
Pros: Fit into more spaces with adjustability, good overall value for the price.
Cons: Bright tweeters and Bass need's room to open up.

If this is entry level, I can't imagine the high end!

I've had Polk XT60 floor standing speakers for about 2 years. They were paired with my Martin Logan Motion 30i Center and Motion 2i Surrounds. I really like Nartin Logan for they way they sound, look and the price point. So I decided to spoil myself and upgraded the Polks to the new ML Foundation series. All Martin Logan now. We're not very knowledgeable when I comes to hi-fi and frequencies and all that but we know when something sounds good vs bad. These sound GREAT! My wife and I put our AVR in stereo mode and played some of our favorite house tracks and really soaked in the sound of the Polks. As soon as we were ready I stopped the music, switched the speaker wires to the new Martin Logans, recalibrated the AVR and started the music again. We were immediately blown away by the jump in quality. They sounded alot cleaner than the polks when the volume was cranked up. The bass was great and clean too, not muddy and overpowering like the Polks could be at times. Overall we're very happy with them. These are the entry level towers that Martin Logan offers but to us we can't even tell. They don't sound entry level.. Would reccomend!

Running them with a Cambridge Audio AXR 100 and an Eversolo DMP A6 streamer Initial thoughts are satisfactory they do sound better the louder you play them.
Pros: Can handle the power well
Cons: Haven't had them long enough to make a judgement call.
