Pretty good speakers. They could have a little more bass but they are small in size so I wasn't expecting a boom. Nice thing is they are small enough to install with a hole saw to get a nice clean cut.

Pros: Size, enclosure to protect components

Cons: Low bass

Great Solution

I have the SLMs for my LCR and needed surround speakers. My couch is against the back wall and I didn't have room in the walls to run wires. Since I was limited in options and my wife didn't want large speakers, I decided on the ML in-ceilings. Before these became available, I tried the IC3's. I connected them to my receiver to see how they sounded with the SLMs and found them to be flat and inefficient. I returned them in favor of the MC4s. The MC4s were a huge improvement. Having the ribbon tweeter, the sound is much brighter and more efficient. They blend in much better with the SLMs. With a small midrange woofer, I was realistic about the expectations. Overall, they sound great. My only complaint has to do with the installation. The mounting tabs were not designed for thicker ceilings. I had to go in the attic and chisel out the slats in the ceiling to get the tabs to turn and grab. This was extra work I didn't expect.
