The 45AW's offer fantastic sound. They are more bright than the bose outdoor speakers we have in the same area and offer more defined bass than the bose as well. The bose are more clear in the mid range so pairing these with them offer a great compliment. I only rate these a 4 star because of the mounting bracket. It's ridiculous and barely worth being called a bracket. We live in FL and I pray that a butterfly doesn't sneeze and knock these off the wall. I am wishing that I went with the 55AW simply for the better bracket. For that reason alone, it's worth the extra money.

Pros: sound quality is crisp and clear

Cons: mounting bracket is terrible, standard size banana clips also hit the brackets and would not work for us.

I was happily surprised how well these speakers sound. I have them hooked up to a denon receiver. I was worried about the bass but the amount is decent enough. I will buy an outdoor sub as well sometime down the road.

Pros: Size, loudness, all weather.

Cons: None so far
