Worth every penny. I would compare them with Klipsch Forte 4.

These speakers are absolutely amazing. I am powering them with the Anthem MCA 225 amplifier connected to a Yamaha AX-3050 receiver. The sound stage is great. The highs, midrange, and bass are very smooth and clear. Although there is a 72 hour break in period, they sounded great right out of the box. I can't wait to hear how they sound after break in. I bought these to replace my Klipsch RF-7II's. The Martin Logan's have a much cleaner sound. I would recommend using a high quality amplifier with these speakers.
Pros: Excellent Sound
Cons: None

NO REGRETS!! BEAUTIFUL SOUND
Jeff from ADEL, IA on 3/26/2025
First off, Crutchfield customer service is awesome!! Thanks Nancy.Second, I would like to say I am not an audio expert. But I do know quality sound when I hear it and These speakers will not let you down. Keep in mind the sound will only be as good as the equipment sending the signal and the cables going to the speakers. My setup Marantz 11.2 AV7706 preamp, Rotel 1590 amp ( 350 WPC ) Pioneer Turntable, Rotel CD player 3 other Rotel amps for H.T setup and a power surge/conditioner for all equipment. I have the M.L bi-wired ( premium cables ) from the amp per owners manual for 4ohm capable speakers and using premium XLR cables from the processor to amp. My wife and I listen to all genres of music and we are amazed in the quality of sound, I did do the recommend break-in period and did a lot of tweaking with placement ( room size 18'W 32'L ) once all was done we find ourselves spending multiple hours listening to our Vinyl and C.D's. I do have 2- 12" powered 300 watt subwoofers ( mainly for H.T ) and find myself literally turning them off, These M.L will get down, but not house shaking down, but you can feel while sitting in the same room and enjoying the music as it was meant to be heard. These speakers replace older Polk Audio RTI-10 powered by an older Denon 7.1 AVR I did research on comparing Bowers and Wilkins and Sonus Faber and others in this price range and I am very with happy with my choice and have NO REGRETS!!
Pros: Great sounding for H.T setup and Awesome for 2 channel stereo listening. If updating you're system, seriously consider. My WIFE likes these Martin Logans, the looks and size are a definite statement.
Cons: Not the easiest to move around ( not really a con ) Break-in period was hard, as when you take them out of box you want to see what these speakers are capable of. the wait use worth it and improving each listening session.

Meh?
Gregory from Highland Park, NJ on 7/24/2024
I was super excited to get these speakers. The status show a really strong frequency range, particularly at the low end, rivaling many subwoofers. But. I was underwhelmed. The midrange felt a little hollow to me, and the speakers really only sounded good to me when the volume was up. They didn't sound great to me at low volumes. I think my room was probably too small for them (they're huge!), but I was disappointed. I'm sure other folks have had better luck in different rooms, but I am currently in the process of returning them to Crutchfield (they've been awesome), and I'm now listening to a pair of Bowers & Wilkins 705 S3's paired with a KEF KC92 subwoofer, and I incredibly pleased with my decision.

Crystal clear mid-range, beautiful highs, and enough bass to literally feel! I bought them to replace a set of Polk RTi-A9's. I was impressed with the Polk set until I heard the new Martin's. Not sure if it is the 4 ohm Martin's vs 8 ohm Polk's, but my Anthem STR Integrated amp is loving the new setup. Overall the purchase was accentuated by the superb customer service Crutchfield provides.
Pros: Not the highest price (Compared to the McIntosh XR100's), but good value for your dollar.
Cons: None so far!!!!

Great Upgrade
Dushan from Gurley, AL on 6/17/2024
These MartinLogans are a significant upgrade from my Polk LSim 705's. The sound is brighter, clearer, more upfront, and (significantly) distortion-free when my 400 watt/channel AVM amp is applied. Totally recommend.
Pros: Sound
Cons: Weight

Great
Craig from Fairfax, VA on 4/11/2024
So far these are great! I compare them to much more expensive speakers by BMW. I also compared them side-by-side with three different calfs definitive technology, and some others and to me. These have much better mids and highs than everything else. I listened to. These fill the room much better than the other speakers I listen to.

Exceptional!
David from Burlington, VT on 10/12/2023
The XT F200 is a very special speaker, highly recommended! One can be anywhere in the room and get great sound. The bass is deep once broken in and the midrange is rich, textured, detailed, yet both male and female voices are presented with fullness and warmth. It expresses more detail with tight precision than almost any speaker I've heard. The sound field can't match ML's own ESL 9's but it is still very very good. These are also some of the most dynamic, lively, exciting speakers to grace my sound room. Pluck and slam are truly stunning, bass is impactful yet controlled, nuanced, textured. These create an intimate, immersive, compelling listening experience! The only thing I would change in the next iteration is the balance; I would dial down the tweeters just a bit and/or have them roll off just a little at the top. (Or offer a switch). While definitely not harsh like a B&W (much smoother and less fatiguing), the tweeters are just a bit prominent, slightly bright to my ears in my room. One can hear the S's and hiss a bit too much, even with 61 year old ears. A lot of room absorption and/or the right electronics would balance this out). Dialing the tweeters down a hair would also integrate them with the mid drivers so the speakers disappear, integrating the tweeter and mids more seamlessly.Despite the one suggestion for ML, I would buy again - there is just so much detail, slam, excitement, yet nuance and texture. I keep wanting to hear more. They bring pure joy!
Pros: Detail detail detail, slam, pluck, impact, yet nuanced and texture in bass, mids and highs. Bass taught, fast, powerful and deep. Mids are luscious and detailed. Highs have sparkle and elicit every last detail. An exciting and compelling experience!
Cons: On some recordings, highs slightly strident or elevated and tweeters are therefore not totally seamless with mids. Dialing back or offering option of a switch to do so would close the gap and these would be overall the most perfect speakers that I've heard. (I also heard ML's ESL-9 Classic, which are also near perfect. They surpass these in sound field and integration of mids and highs (no crossover there), but these have more punch and slam and still have gobs of detail.). ML is on a roll!

Worth the Spend
Ron from Folsom, LA on 8/27/2023
While having enjoyed Polk speakers for several years Martin Logan's new Motion XT series peaked my interest. Due to Crutchfield's return policy I ordered the F200s to compare with my Polk Legend L600s. It proved to be an inequitable comparison as these are two very different speakers in tone and presentation (and price-points). As always the component-chain plays a major role in the performance of these or any other speakers. With that said, kudos to Martin Logan in balancing the F200s highly detailed, expansive, and transparent soundstage with extended 3-dimensional depth. The dynamic presence of the F200s' immersive soundstage delivers expressive highs, clarity in mid-range, and fast impactful bass (sub not needed). For HT the F200s at 40hz cross-over-to-subwoofer pair very well with my Polk Legend L400 center and deliver a palpable sharpness to the front stage. In conclusion I found the F200s to be a substantial upgrade to my main system - I'll be keeping them. P.S. The F200 tweeters are 'bright' out-the-box but begin to relax around 30 hours and by around 60 hours the tweeters had relaxed considerably and the speakers in general had opened up nicely.
Pros: Impressive soundstage - overall performance at price-point - design of the feet - ease of removal/setup from the shipping carton
Cons: Only my personal preference for black wood finish vs. piano gloss

This is for the reviewer that said he doesn't believe in break in I own Kef r11s and had kef q100 s.. they take 3 months to open up so keep listening. And it is a fact even from speaker manufacturers that the spider mechanism in the speaker has to loosen up, you should expect greater width depth and smoothness in the coming months

I'm giving it four stars for now but could easily be five. I only have 10 hours on them. I'm an old school rocker so I like to rock and play it Loud but I also listen to pretty much all types of music other than rap. I've been trying to find a speaker with good Punchy Bass that wasn't overly bright. I'm using an Yamaha avantage a6a as a preamp and parasound a21 Plus to drive them. They sound amazing. The top end Sparkle can be a little much due to a lack of roll-off. I'm hoping the fmt Tweeter calms down some. If not I can EQ the issue. I've never believed in a break-in period for speakers I think it's more about your ears becoming accustomed to the new ones. But the fmt Tweeter does have moving parts so I'm hoping they do calm down just a bit. Other than that these speakers are amazing especially for the price.

Great improvement over past generation
Matt from Nashville, TN on 2/16/2023
I owned the 60XTI towers and was luckily within my return period when the announcement came for the new line of Motion speakers. I returned them and ordered these the moment they started showing stock online These speakers are about 20 pounds heavier than the 60XTI and it's noticeable. They were delivered via freight, unlike the 60XTI which were delivered normally. Packaging was very good and the speakers were well protected. Disassembly of the box and setup of the speaker feet was easy and straight forward. Appearance wise, these look much better than the 60XTI. I have the black version. Much more classy and modern and higher end. Taller than previous gen, too. I've only a short time to listen so far but the added woofer and redesign of the entire speaker is noticeable in a good way. Bass is fuller and more robust with the added woofer. Highs and mids are cleaner. Staging was great with the 60XTI and these are just as good if not better. Overall, it's worth the upgrade coming from the XT or XTI models of past generations. Hard to get better than this at this price point. Great job ML.
Pros: Design - Classy and premium, huge improvements from past gen Build quality - Obvious when moving it around Feet quality - Form and function top notch Staging - Better than previous gen which were already very good Low end - Notable fullness, controlled Highs and mids - Clear, clean, and dynamic
Cons: Heavy, but to be expected for a larger, better built speaker
