All-Weather Speaker: The AWC129 is a two-way, 70/100V, surface-mount loudspeaker that's designed for outdoor music and paging systems, while being highly weather-resistant. This makes the AWC129 an excellent choice for a wide variety of outdoor applications including sports facilities, racetracks, stadiums, fairgrounds, water parks, cruise ships, and anywhere a high-quality outdoor, foreground/background music (and/or paging) speaker is required.

Two-Way Speaker Design: The AWC129 indoor/outdoor speaker is comprised of a high-power 12" low-frequency driver and a 1" high-frequency horn-loaded compression driver tweeter. The 12" woofer features a Kevlar-reinforced cone and a well-damped surround for a smooth frequency response. Its high-temperature voice coil and saturated-gap magnet geometry help reduce distortion. The coaxial design features a unique tapered pole-piece design that eliminates high-frequency beaming, while extending pattern control to the lowest possible frequencies.

Weather Resistance Enclosure: The AWC129's paintable enclosure is constructed of thick ABS with fiberglass, and is heavily braced to maximize low-frequency performance. The corrosion-resistant, zinc-rich steel grille is powder-coated and backed with open cell foam. The high thread-count mesh foam provides excellent protection in the harshest environments. The outdoor speaker carries an IP-56 weather-proof rating (per IEC529) when installed with a minimum 5˚ downward tilt. It also exceeds Mil Spec 810 for humidity, salt spray, temperature, UV rays, as well as ASTM G85 for acid-air/salt-spray (336 hrs.).

70V/100V Compatible: The AWC129 includes a 200W multi-tap transformer for use in either 70V or 100V distributed-line systems. Taps are selected with a rotary switch  located on the rear-panel.

• 70V Taps: 25W, 50W, 100W, 200W
• 100V Taps: 50W, 100W, 200W
• 8Ω: Tap bypass

Set-Screw Terminals: Speaker wire connection is made via set-screw terminals that can accommodate up to 12 ga. speaker wire. A Thru pair of terminals lets you daisy-chain multiple speakers. The rear-panel terminal cup includes a screw-down cover and a wire gland-nut for added weather protection.

Mounting Options: The AWC129 includes a heavy-duty, powder-coated U-bracket for surface-mounting to a wall, ceiling, or overhang, while providing long-lasting, all-weather use. The U-bracket allows for a wide range of speaker-aiming angles.

SonicGuard Protection: JBL's exclusive SonicGuard overload protection is virtually inaudible to the listener, ensuring reliability while providing full fidelity sound.
