I have been using JBL products since the 80s, car speakers, HiFi home speakers, subwoofers, etc. and to this day I have yet to be disappointed. The JBL Control SB2210 is no exception, the bass is accurate and controlled, it complements my four JBL Control X outdoor speakers I got on sale a while back for $100.00 a pair. The whole system sounds excellent. I am powering the sub with a Crown XLS 1502 in bridged mode that provides 1050 watts X 1 at 8ohms. You need to make sure the sub has plenty of power in order to deliver plenty of sound to your intended area, in my case my outdoor pool and deck. As usual, Crutchfield's exceptional service and price makes it a great experience, I would highly recommend that if you have questions reach out to them, they have very knowledgeable reps that can give you the advise you need to make a purchase that will meet your needs.

Pros: -Powerful bass -Accurate and controlled -No distortion at high volume -Option to hang on wall or ceiling available -Weather proof

This subwoofer is awesome at all volume levels, tight powerful bass, not boomy at all, only thing that would make sound better is having two pounding away, but you better not live close to anybody. One is enough for most people, my 30X40 shop with 12' ceilings sounds like a night club.

Pros: Deep powerful bass output at all volume levels, even sounds good at low volume.

Cons: A little heavy but good subwoofers usually are.

Best outdoor sub. I have purchased a few by far but none of them sound like this, Just make sure you purchased a quality amp, that has built in dsp and class d amp.
