Each JBL SLP12/T speaker features a 3" full-range driver that delivers clear background music and announcements in a commercial sound system. Its ingenious design lets you flush-mount it on a wall and cover a broad area, and the built-in transformer tap lets you drive several speakers with a single commercial-grade amplifier.

The speaker's cabinet imparts a 15-degree downward tilt, so it directs sound toward listeners when mounted above your seating area. A built-in cable management channel lets you flush-mount it to the wall without wires getting in the way, and a convenient slide-on mounting bracket is included. The speaker is rated IP44 (resistant to particle ingress and water splashes), and the included rain cover protects the terminal compartment in an outdoor application.

Features

On-Wall Speaker: The JBL SLP12/T on-wall loudspeaker that can provide rich, detailed sound with broad, consistent coverage in a sleek, low-profile design. The elegantly finished speaker is designed for flush-mounting to a wall and features a 15° down-tilted angle that can provide a wide 120° (h) x 120° (v) coverage pattern from the single 3" full-range driver. The SLP12/T can be installed indoors or outdoors, and is an ideal choice for restaurants, hotels, resorts, retail stores, and any application requiring a high-quality speaker with a discreet yet elegant look.

3" Driver: The SLP12/T features a single 3" full-range driver with a polypropylene cone and a 0.8" Kapton former voice coil.

Enclosure: The JBL SLP12/T is housed in a durable polycarbonate/ABS sealed enclosure that carries a UL94V-0 flammability rating. The driver is protected by a powder-coated zinc-plated grille. The enclosure and grille are both paintable.

70/100V Transfomer: The JBL on-wall speaker features a 15W transformer for installation in 70V or 100V applications. A tap dial on the back of the speaker provides the following selections:

70V: 15W, 7.5W, 3.8W, 1.9W
100V: 15W, 7.5W, 3.8W
8Ω: An 8-ohm bypass setting allows the speaker to be powered conventionally:
- 80W continuous program power (2hrs.)
- 40W (160W peak) continuous pink noise (2hrs.)
- 20W (80W peak) continuous pink noise (100hrs.)

Terminals: A 4-pin Euroblock connector, accepting wire up to 14-gauge, provides the connection to the speaker. Two pins are use as the input, while the two additional pins let you daisy-chain the signal out to additional speakers. A protective cover is provided to help shield the connector from rain or water ingress. With the cover installed, the SLP12/T carries an IP44 waterproof rating for outdoor use (per IEC529).

Monting: The JBL SLP12/T includes a wall-mount bracket that allows the speaker to simply slip over it, making installation and removal of the speaker easy.

Note: Hardware for installing the mounting bracket to a wall is not included and must be purchased separately.
