Low-profile on-wall speakers

The ingenious design of the JBL SLP14/T speaker lets you flush-mount it on a wall and cover a broad area with sound. Its 4-1/2" woofer and 1" tweeter deliver clear background music and announcements, and the built-in transformer tap lets you drive several speakers with a single commercial-grade amplifier.

The speaker's cabinet imparts a 15-degree downward tilt, so it directs sound toward listeners when mounted above your seating area. A built-in cable management channel lets you flush-mount it to the wall without wires getting in the way, and a convenient slide-on mounting bracket is included. The speaker is rated IP44 (resistant to particle ingress and water splashes), and includes a rain cover that protects the terminal compartment in outdoor applications.

Features

On-Wall Speaker: The JBL SLP14/T is a 2-way on-wall loudspeaker that can provide rich, detailed sound with broad, consistent coverage in a sleek, low-profile design. The elegantly finished speaker is designed for flush-mounting to a wall and features a 15° down-tilted angle that can provide a wide 140° (h) x 120° (v) coverage pattern. The SLP14/T can be installed indoors or outdoors, and is an ideal choice for restaurants, hotels, resorts, retail stores, and any application requiring a high-quality speaker with a discreet yet elegant look.

2-Way Driver: The SLP14/T features a 4.5" woofer, with a polypropylene cone and a 1" Kapton former voice coil, and a coaxially-mounted 0.79" titanium dome tweeter, with a neodymium magnet and an aluminum former.

Enclosure: The JBL SLP14/T is housed in a durable polycarbonate/ABS sealed enclosure that carries a UL94V-0 flammability rating. The 2-way driver is protected by a powder-coated zinc-plated grille. The enclosure and grille are both paintable.

70/100V Transfomer: The JBL on-wall speaker features a 25W transformer for installation in 70V or 100V applications. A tap dial on the back of the speaker provides the following selections:

70V: 25W, 12.5W, 6.3W, 3.2W
100V: 25W, 12.5W, 6.3W
8Ω: An 8-ohm bypass setting allows the speaker to be powered conventionally:
- 100W continuous program power (2hrs.)
- 50W (200W peak) continuous pink noise (2hrs.)
- 30W (120W peak) continuous pink noise (100hrs.)

Terminals: A 4-pin Euroblock connector, accepting wire up to 14-gauge, provides the connection to the speaker. Two pins are use as the input, while the two additional pins let you daisy-chain the signal out to additional speakers. A protective cover is provided to help shield the connector from rain or water ingress. With the cover installed, the SLP14/T carries an IP44 waterproof rating for outdoor use (per IEC529).

Monting: The JBL SLP14/T includes a wall-mount bracket that allows the speaker to simply slip over it, making installation and removal of the speaker easy.

Note: Hardware for installing the mounting bracket to a wall is not included and must be purchased separately.
