Overview: The Mackie DL16S is a wireless digital 16-channel mixer that features Mackie's Onyx+ preamps, 24-bit A/D and D/A converters, and powerful DSP processing for all input and output channels. Built-in Wi-Fi lets you connect up to 20 devices for remote control using the Master Fader Control App and your smartphone, tablet, or computer.

Onyx+ Inputs: The Mackie DL16S mixer features 16 inputs - 8 XLR and 8 XLR/1/4" combo jacks, each equipped with a studio-quality Onyx+ mic preamp that can deliver depth, headroom and immense detail to your live mix. With a choice of XLR or combo mic/line inputs, connecting mics and instruments is quick and easy. 48V Phantom power can be globally applied when using condenser mics. Input channels can be stereo-linked for recording stereo sources. Additional input channel features include:

• 4-Band EQ: 4-band parametric EQ with Hi & Lo Shelving and a dedicated HPF filter.
• Compressor/Gate: Compression/gating can be applied, with options for a 'Vintage' or 'Modern' style compressor layout. Both types include settings for Threshold, Ratio, Attack, Release, and Gain. The Modern style also provides the option for Soft Knee or Hard Knee compression.
• RTA/Spectograph: The DL16S features a built-in RTA (Real-Time Analyzer), providing a detailed analysis of each incoming signal. A built-in oscillator can provide Pink or White Noise, or a Test Tone with 100Hz, 1kHz, or 10kHz sine wave options. A Variable tone option lets you select a frequency from 20Hz to 20kHz as a test tone.

48kHz/24-Bit AD/DA Converters: The DL16S mixer feature high-end 24-bit AD/DA converters, offering a wide dynamic range. Mackie aligns its Onyx preamps precisely with the converters to provide you with the most headroom and the lowest noise and distortion possible; resulting in brilliant sound quality from a vocal whisper to a loud guitar solo.

Outputs: The Mackie DL16S features 8 male XLR output jacks that can be freely assigned to any of the input channels via 13 internal routing busses. A dedicated headphone output is provided for listening to soloed tracks or getting a close-up listen to your mix. Additional channel assignments include 6 stereo-linkable Aux Sends, 6 stereo-linkable Subgroups, and a Main L/R bus. Each of the 13 internal output busses can have its own processing, with options for the following:

• 4-Band EQ: 4-band parametric EQ complete with dedicated HPF and LPF filters.
• 31-Band EQ: 31-band GEQ with +12dB to -12dB of adjustment per band; includes the ability to draw in the curve and a 2x zoom control for ultra-precise control.
• Compressor/Limiter: Compressor/limiter provides extensive control over the signal for a more balanced volume, as well as for protecting your speakers.
• Delay: Up to 337.8ms of alignment delay with variable temperature control let you time-align each output channel.

4 Stereo Effects Processors: The DL16S mixer features 4 stereo effects processors that can be applied to any channel(s). Effects include 9 Reverb types, 5 Delay types, Phaser, Tremolo, Rotary, 2 Chorus types, Flanger, and 3 Filter Sweeps. 70 pre-configured Effect Presets can quickly be applied to a bus channel. Presets can edited and saved, as well as imported and exported.

Snapshot Recall: The DL16S allows you to easily recall mix functions with a single finger press. Easily save and access sound check settings for multiple bands, complex song mixes, and more. Save channel icons including pics of band members.  You can even preset the board and be ready to go the moment you arrive at your gig.

VCAs & Mute Groups: There are 6 individual Mute Groups available from the quick access panel. Assign specific input and output channels to these mute groups for customizable control of channel muting. Six VCAs let you assign multiple channels to one VCA for quickly changing the level of a group of channels with one virtual fader, without changing the individual levels for each. Both functions are great for muting or changing groups of inputs during song breaks or for larger productions with rotating musicians, broadcast, House of Worship, or theatre production applications.

Wi-Fi: Built-in Wi-Fi technology allows the Mackie DL16S to act as an access point for connecting smartphones, tablets, or computers to the mixer. The mixer can also work in client mode, letting you connect the DL16S to an existing Wi-Fi network. An RJ-45 Ethernet port on the mixer also lets you make a hardwire connection to a network. Up to 20 devices can be connected to the mixer wirelessly, allowing multiple people to control the mixer via the Master Fader app.

Multi-Channel Recording: A USB (type-B) port on the mixer lets you make a hardwire connection to your macOS or Windows computer, providing 16x16 channels of I/O for recording and playback.

Master Fader App: All configuration and control of the Mackie DL16S is made through the Mackie Master Fader app, available for iOS (11+), Andoid (6+), macOS (10.2+), and Windows (10+). The Master Fader app is a straight-forward, easy-to-use UI that provides total control of your DL Series mixer. From powerful hands-on control of input/output processing to complex show management and device configuration, Master Fader provides unmatched wireless control.
