The Mackie ProFXv3+ expands on the features of their popular ProFX12v3 12-channel mixer with enhancements that let you use your mixer in recording studios and for podcasts as well as live sound production. High-quality mic preamps

The ProFX12v3+ uses seven Mackie Onyx™ microphone preamps, each virtually noise-free with up to 60 dB of gain. Each mic input includes a switchable low-cut filter to help remove the unwanted rumble and bleed of a live stage mix.

Bluetooth connects your mixer to the world

This mixer's dedicated Bluetooth® channel makes it easy to add phones, audio devices, and computers to the mix. Podcasters can take phone calls on-air, and artists and mixers can livestream, add prepared material to a program, and play intermission music during breaks. Capture your stream or performance at pristine 24-bit/192 kHz quality with a built-in 2x4 USB-C audio interface, complete with three recording modes:

Onboard effects

Mackie's GigFX™ effects processor includes 12 performance-tested reverb, delay, and chorus effects to color the sound just the way you like it. The ProFX12v3 also includes one-knob audio compression on four channels to smooth out inconsistent dynamics.

    Overview: The Mackie ProFX12v3+ is a professional 10-channel compact mixer with 4 Onyx mic preamps, a USB interface for 2x4 recording, and Bluetooth connectivity. The Mackie ProFXv3+ series mixers include a new GigFX effects engine that instantly delivers your choice of 12 effects. In addition, the ProFX12v3 features smooth linear faders for each channel strip along with 3-band equalization. The mixer's "Built-Like-A-Tank" design features a solid steel chassis with rugged ABS side panels. The Mackie ProFX12v3+ also includes Waveform OEM professional software and plugin package (via free download).

    Applications: The Mackie ProFX12v3+ is great for live sound mixing, houses of worship, clubs, gyms, banquet halls, conference and board rooms, video post-production, multimedia applications, broadcasting, and more.

    Channel Strips

    Inputs: The ProFX12v3+ includes the following inputs:

    • Onyx Mic Preamps (Ch. 1-10): Mackie's Onyx microphone preamps offer up to 60dB of gain and ultra-low noise performance. Channels 1&2 are equipped with female XLR/1/4" combo jacks that can accept balanced mic or line/instrument-level signals from almost any type of source. Channels 3, 4, 5/6, 7/8, 9/10 include female XLR jacks that can accept balanced microphone signals. The mic inputs feature 48-volt phantom power from a single 2-way switch.
    • Line Inputs (Ch. 3&4): Channels 3 and 4 include 1/4" jacks for running balanced or unbalanced line-level signals.
    • Stereo Line Inputs (Ch. 5/6, 7/8, 9/10): Channels 5/6, 7/8, and 9/10 consist of a stereo pair of 1/4" TRS jacks, each accepting line level signals from balanced or unbalanced sources.
    • Line/Hi-Z Input (Ch. 1&2): Channel 1&2 combo jacks can accept line-or instrument-level signals and include a Hi-Z switch that allows you to connect a guitar to either 1/4" input without a DI box. With the switch pressed in, the input impedance is optimized for a direct connection. In the out position, that corresponding 1/4" input becomes a line input. 
    • Bi-Directional Bluetooth & 1/8" Stereo (Ch. 11/12): Input Channels 11/12 include an 1/8" stereo input for use with a portable player, smartphone, or tablet. Channels 11/12 can also used for a bi-directional Bluetooth connection to your smartphone or tablet, letting you stream music and backing tracks when performing. The Bluetooth connection also lets you integrate a live caller into your mix during podcasting.
      • Note: If a Bluetooth connection is made, it will override any signals on the 1/8" stereo input. Only one input type can be played back at a time on Channels 11/12.
    • Channel Inserts: 1/4" TRS jacks for Channels 1-4 let you add insert effects to the channel signal, such as compression, EQ, de-essers, etc. The insert point is after the Gain control and Low-Cut Filter, but before the channel EQ and Level controls.
    • USB: A USB 3-4 On/Off switch can override signals on Channels 9/10 and activate the rear-panel USB-C input, letting you feed audio from a computer. A corresponding Level control lets you adjust the signal level on the USB input.

    Gain: Input channels 1-12 include a Gain control that lets you adjust the input sensitivity. The Gain controls feature a "U" symbol to indicate "Unity Gain," or no change in the signal level. Level Set LEDs let you adjust the channel signal to its strongest level while staying below the clipping or distortion point.

    • Line Inputs: For line-level signals, you can adjust the input sensitivity between -20dB and +40dB.
    • Mic Inputs: For mic signals, the range of adjustment is 0dB to +60dB.

     Low Cut: A Low Cut switch on channels 1-10 cuts bass frequencies below 100 Hz at a slope of 18dB per octave.

    3-Band Equalization: Inputs 1-12 all have 3-band equalization with low-shelving at 80Hz, mid peaking at 2.5kHz, and high-shelving at 12kHz. High and low shelving means the circuitry boosts or cuts all frequencies past the specified frequency with 15dB of boost or cut. The mid peaking lets you boost or cut 2.5kHz by 15dB. A "U" symbol on each dial indicates the center position (Unity Gain) where there is no change in the signal level.

    FX Sends: The ProFX12v3+ features an FX send for Channels 1-12. As the control is turned up, a portion of that channel signal is assigned to the FX send, post-channel Level dial. All effected channel signals are added to the main mix by increasing the level of the main FX fader.

    Aux Sends: Channels 1-12 include an Aux/Monitor control that determines how much of that channel's signal will be sent to the Monitor Send output jack for feeding stage or in-ear monitors.

    Compression: Channels 1-4 feature built-in dynamic compression that can be applied via Compression rotary controls for each channel. The compressor has a fixed ratio of 6:1 and a soft-knee response. The threshold can be adjusted from Off (no compression) to 0dBu (maximum compression) by rotating the Compression dial.

    Stereo Panning: A Pan dial for each pair of input channels lets you adjust how much of the channel signal is sent to the left and right outputs.

    Channel Faders: The ProFX12v3+ features linear faders for adjusting the signal level of Channels 1-4, 5/6, 7/8, 9/10, and 11/12. Each control includes "U" (unity), for no change in the signal, and can provide up to 10dB of additional signal gain if needed.

    Channel Assign Switches: Channel faders 1-12 each include 3 push-button controls for assigning the channel signal:

    • 1-2: Assigns the channel signals to Subgroup 1-2 channels.
    • L-R: Assigns the channel signals to the Main Left/Right channels.
    • PFL/Solo: When engaged, channel signals will singled out from the mix and sent to the Control Room and Headphone outputs and are controlled by the CR and Phones controls; the signal level will be displayed on the left level meter. This switch also activates PFL (Pre-Fader Listen) which provides a post-EQ signal that's "tapped" before (pre) the channel fader and is not affected by it.

    Mute: Mute switches for Channels 1-12, along with the FX, Sub 1-2, and Main outputs let you quickly disengage the sound from its corresponding channel. When activated, the Mute buttons will illuminate red.

    Outputs & Additional Controls


    • Main: Two balanced XLR and two balanced/unbalanced 1/4" jacks are provided for the Main Output signal. Both outputs are adjusted by the Main fader and provide a line-level signal for running to an outboard amplifier or powered speakers.
    • Control Room: A pair of Balanced/unbalanced 1/4" Control Room output jacks provide a secondary output that can be used for separate monitoring or for a recording. When the To Phones/Control Room switch is engaged, USB input signals are blended with the overall Control Room output mix.
    • Sub Out: Two 1/4" TRS jacks provide a direct output for Subgroup 1-2, with the level controlled by the Sub 1-2 fader. This output can be used for sending audio channels out to a multitrack recorder or to secondary amplifiers in a complex installation.
    • Monitor Send: A single 1/4" TRS jack can provide a monitor mix for stage or in-ear monitors. The monitor signal is a mix of all channels that have their Aux control turned up past 0, with the overall output controlled by the Aux Master dial.
    • FX Send: A 1/4" TRS line-level output can be used to feed an external effects processor. The output is an exact copy of the same channel mix that goes to the internal FX processing - without having the internal FX added.
    • Phones: A 1/4" TRS headphone output is provided with a corresponding rotary Phones dial for adjusting the output. When the To Phones/Control Room switch is engaged, USB input signals are blended with the overall Phones output mix.
    • Foot Switch: A 1/4" TRS jack lets you connect an optional footswitch that can be used to quickly mute/un-mute the internal effects.

    FX: An FX fader provides control over the amount of signal sent to the FX Send output, as well as the amount of internal FX signals mixed with the Main Output signals. The FX signal is normally automatically routed to the Main Outuput, but can also be assigned to Subgroup 1-2 via a push-button on the channel strip.

    Sub 1-2: A single fader controls the amount of signal sent to the Sub Out jacks and to the Main Mix if the corresponding L-R button is engaged. Sub 1-2 signals are a combination of all channels that have their 1-2 switch engaged. The subgroup can be used to group multiple channels together and be controlled by one fader. The subgroup and its corresponding outputs can also be used for multitrack recording select channels, while still monitoring the overall mix through the Control Room and/or Main outputs.

    Main Output Level: A single fader adjusts the output level of the main mix signals sent to the XLR and 1/4" Main output jacks. A corresponding Mute button can be used to quickly mute all signals going to the Main, Control Room, and Headphone outputs.

    • Main Meters: A pair of 8-segment LEDs display the Main Output level, ranging from -24 to 14. LEDs from -24 to 8 light green, while LED 14 lights yellow, indicating the signal level is near clipping. Red "OL" clip LEDs will light if the signal starts to clip.

    Additional Controls

    • Blend: A rotary knob adjusts the amount of blended signal from all Input Channels and the USB 1-2 return input. Fully left provides just the Input Channel signal, center provides a 50/50 blend, and fully right provides just the USB 1-2 signals. This lets you blend between monitoring your computer's output and the feed from the mixer, with zero latency. A corresponding To Phones button allows the blended signal to be sent to the Headphone output.
    • Aux Master: A rotary dial adjusts the overall output mix of each channel's Aux send to the Monitor Output.
    • FX To Monitor: A rotary dial adjusts the overall FX signal to the Monitor Output.
    • To Phones/CR: Push-button; when engaged, allows the USB 1-2 audio to be mixed with the main 2-channel signals to the Control Room and Headphone outputs.
    • 48V: Activates +48V of phantom power to all of the XLR input jacks. A corresponding red LED lights when activated.
    • Recording Mode: A Recording Mode button lets you select one of three Recording Modes when recording to a connected computer:
      • Standard: Captures a complete recording of the main mix to a computer, including GigFX+ effects and tone-shaping EQ.
      • Loopback: Blends computer audio into the recording. Ideal for video game streams or playing back music over backing tracks.
      • Interface: Sends audio directly from Channels 1&2 to the computer, without effects, for the cleanest recording possible.
    Built-In FX

    GigFX: The Mackie ProFX12v3+ includes 12 high-quality FX (effects) built-in for easy selection and use. A Preset rotary/push knob and Back button let you quickly cycle through each Preset. A color LCD screen will display the selected effect, along with key parameters for that effect that can easily adjusted, letting you customize each effect. Up to 6 edited effects can be saved to the internal memory and quickly recalled when needed. Effects include:

    USB: A rear-panel USB type-C (2.0) is provided for connection to a computer DAW (Digital Audio Workstation), providing a 2x4 I/O, along with 24-Bit/192kHz recording resolution. The 2x4 USB I/O lets you record a stereo signal to the computer and return up to 2 stereo playback streams from the computer. This lets you monitor specific tracks during playback in addition to the full mix.
