About the Gator Frameworks Compact Base Mic Stand

Double-duty mic stand
Double-duty mic stand
Gator Frameworks' GFW-MIC-0821 stand is ideal for both the podcasting and recording environments. For podcasters, it makes a wonderful desktop mic holder thanks to its compact base that won't crowd your recording space. For musicians and home recorders, its rugged steel construction comes in handy for holding mics for kick drums or amplifiers. And if you occupy both worlds? Well, you've just found a great value, partner.
Lots of great features
The GFW-MIC-0821's weighted base measures just 8 inches by 4.5 inches, so it won't occupy too much real estate while remaining stable. It offers a no-slip, vibration reducing gasket for better sound quality. The single-section 19" boom arm lets you position the mic's height and angle independently. You can adjust the stand's height easily by giving the soft-grip ergonomic handle a quarter-turn twist.
No microphone mess
The GFW-MIC-0821 offers removable and adjustable cable management to keep your setup clean and organized. The adaptable microphone stand fitting easily accommodates both U.S. and Euro mic clips. And the stand works with most popular podcast microphone models.
Note: Microphone clip not included.

Features
Overview: The Gator Frameworks Mic Stand is designed for use as a desktop stand, for podcast and interviews, or for miking bass drums and speaker cabinets. It features heavy-duty steel construction with a weighted base that provides superior stability. The base includes a non-slip rubber gasket along the bottom, helping keep the stand in place while damping vibrations. All steel parts are powder-coated for added protection. A rubberized clutch-type mechanism lets you easily adjust the stand height, while two tensioning-knobs provide quick adjustment of both the boom-arm angle and extension. The 5/8" threaded microphone-clip fitting can accommodate most U.S. and Euro microphone clips (sold separately). Snap-on cable clips on the boom-arm and stand help manage microphone cables.
Adjustable Height: The Gator Frameworks mic stand can be adjusted to suit your needs. The stand can be extended from 13.25" up to 16.25" from table-top. With the boom attached and fully extended, the maximum height for the threaded mic end is approximately 27". Aim the boom downward, and you can lower a microphone to a minimum height of 2", providing a wide range of microphone placement options.
