Allen & Heath designed their CQ-20B compact digital mixer for business and commercial AV specialists, as well as for small live music venues, professional musicians, and home studio producers. The CQ-20B takes up to 20 input signals and lets you mix, match, and send them out to up to 8 different output destinations like PA and monitor speakers on stage or recording tracks in home and studio productions. The CQ-20B uses 96kHz digital processing to ensure pure and accurate reproduction of all sounds and that they get precisely to where they should go without added coloring or distortion.

Facilitating features

Complete Channels mode lets you customize and adjust all settings by hand from scratch.
Quick Channels mode offers quick and simple selectable setups for standard sound mixes like voices, guitars, and drums in small ensembles.
Gain Assistant automatically sets and monitors every channel's input gain, to mitigate overloads and sudden changes in volume.
Feedback Assistant automatically detects and eliminates problem frequencies using up to 16 filters per channel.
Automatic Mic Mixer controls the balance and priorities when multiple open mics are used for large meetings.

App control

The CQ-20B has no built-in control surface, so its digital processing, adjustments, assignments, and settings can only be accessed and monitored using the mixer's built-in WiFi and the CQ MixPad app run on your phone, tablet, or laptop.
An FX Assist tool can automatically set and dynamically adjust the parameters of 4 effects processors, including different classic and modern reverbs, echoes, compression, and other modulations.
You can control multiple channels' volumes and muting with one control via the CQ-20B's DCA assignment and Mute Group functions.
