Perfect

I needed to get up to date with Pro Tools and then replace my Mbox2 Pro to run the new Pro Tools. The Scarlett 2i2 is perfect. Easy. Plug and Play. Only been using it for a week but great so far.

Good interface but need more power at the headphone gain, got this at 199.00 to weeks ago, now at 179.99, and asked if there were price protection, no response.

This Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 hardly needs an introduction, as its fame rivals its straightforwardness. You use it to record your music, voiceovers, or whatever analog audio source you plug into it. In goes an analog signal, out comes a digital signal. The 2i2 connects to a computer via its USB-C out, enabling you to record the digital signal using recording software. I own another second-generation 2i2 which honestly works fine, but I got this 4th-gen version to keep permanently hooked up to the record out connection of my Marantz Model 50, so I can easily digitize my old vinyl. The Marantz has a truly excellent phono stage, and the well-known VinylStudio, the inexpensive piece of recording software, will record beautiful high-resolution files and instantly take care of any undesired pops and crackles. What's so great about this setup is that I don't need to fiddle with cables. I connect the 2i2 to my laptop via a USB cable and I am good to go. Unlike my old 2i2, this unit also comes with software controls, so I can adjust the channel gain right from my laptop. No need to even reach into my cabinet. Very easy. For you podcasters out there, I also tested a fairly quiet dynamic microphone (though not the Shure SM7B) and the improvement in clean gain is considerable compared to the second-generation 2i2. Cloudlifters probably not needed. Our tech just keeps improving; we never had it this good. If you have a use case for it, you'll want this Scarlett 2i2. It's a no brainer.
Pros: Easy to set up and use. Great audio quality.
Cons: None.
