I am not a pro... no mixing involved. Just listening. I have had $20,000 speakers (each) powered by mammoth mono-block amps. These sound like those speakers without the 150lb weight and needing custom wiring in the walls. The construction & design are superb. I did try the LCD-XC phones and I loved their sound. But, the extra half pound was just too much! These are very comfortable. I have only spent a few hours so far, but they sound spectacular... From the first listen to a day later, they just disappear and only the music remains! All of the music. I leave it to more qualified reviewers to better explain the nuances of performance. I thought some may have exaggerated a bit. NO! They did not. They convey power that only a full blown Rel sub could go past while being able to handle fine subtlety and nuance with ease. I listen to classical, jazz, blues, a lot of world music. Vocals, long strings, guitar, horns, drums, didj drones and all I've thrown at these sound just like they did on my very expensive system! Everything just sound great. I loose myself in these. BTW, I play CD sources ripped to my computer, Amazon plus music & purchased flac files downloaded all played through a simple Schiit Modi Multibit, Magni+ amp. Everything just works together for me.

Pros: Light Base Mids Trebble Quickness, slam, decay Construction

Cons: The 6.35mm phono plug is too long! That's literally all that could be better!

MM-500 delivers stunning clarity and separation without being fatiguing or boring. It has a slight elevation in the lower mids that brings some warmth without muddying the soundscape. The decay is fast and precise, which adds to its technical capabilities, and the low end is really well executed until 20hz with amazing texture. Highs are on point with great articulation and no exaggeration. It is like a super/planar HD 650. Definitely a keeper and a great tool for the mixing/mastering engineer that could also double as an amazing audiophile headphone.

Pros: - Amazing clarity and separation - Low end extension and texture - Greatly improved comfort compared to older Audezes - Rugged construction

Cons: None so far
