Features

Overview: The weBoost Drive Reach Overland (model 472061) cellular signal booster is designed by and for overlanders to improve the cell signal when you go off-road. Boosted signals result in fewer dropped calls and dead spots, clearer voice calls, and faster data rates, whether you're parked, or on the road. Everyone in the vehicle can enjoy higher quality cell service in weak-signal areas. The Drive Reach Overland includes a new high-performance, omni-directional overland receiving antenna and a small, inside (transmitting) antenna. It is the most powerful cell signal booster allowed by the FCC, and carries a 2-year warranty.

Benefits: The weBoost Drive Reach Overland helps increase the signal strength in typically weak signal areas, particularly when you're off the grid. A cell signal booster can reach faraway cell towers and boost the signal to make your devices usable, especially when you need to get in touch with someone. With stronger signals, your cell phone doesn't have to work as hard to find a signal, extending battery life. Data rates are increased, meaning data upload and download times are reduced. It is compatible with all US wireless carriers, including Verizon, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, and AT&T, and simultaneously supports multiple users. weBoost cell phone signal boosters are 5G ready.

Installation: The Drive Reach Overland cell phone signal booster consists of three main components: the booster, the antennas (outside and inside), and the power supply. The booster can be mounted inside the vehicle under a seat or on a side wall using the included bracket, and powered by the included vehicle power adapter. It requires connections to the inside and outside antennas, and the power adapter. The outside antenna is typically mounted to a roof rack that places the entire antenna above the roof line of the vehicle and away from metal obstructions. The versatile Folding Mounting Bracket (included) gives you several options for mounting the antenna mast. You can also mount the bracket to a ladder or rail using the included brackets and hardware. The antenna comes with a spring mount that you can use, if desired, to resist wind and low branches. The included 13" mast extension can be attached to the 7-1/2" tall overland antenna for a maximum height of 20-1/2". The 14-foot coax cable should be routed through an existing cable entry point, through the third brake light, or you can drill a hole with a hole saw bit. It can also be routed through a door opening, as the cable is strong enough to be shut in most vehicle doors without damage. The indoor antenna can be placed on the dash or the side of a seat. It should be placed between 18" and 36" from where the cellular device will be used.

Status Lights: The Drive Reach Overland booster has an indicator light on the front panel that glows or flashes green or red to indicate the status of the booster:

  • Solid Green: Booster functioning properly
  • Blinking Red, Then Solid Green: Band has reduced gain due to a feedback loop (oscillation). It's a safety feature to prevent harmful interference.
  • Solid Red: Band has shut itself off due to oscillation.
  • Light Off: The booster is not receiving power from the power supply.

weBoost App: weBoost has a new app that allows you to measure signal performance with before and after readings, and pinpoint the nearest cell tower. The app also has step-by-step installation and setup instructions. The weBoost app is available for iPhone and iPod touch, and requires iOS 14.0 or later. It is also available for Android devices, and requires Android 8.0 and up.
