It's made from durable MDF and accommodates models from Monitor Audio's Creator Series, Basics, and All Weather CI ranges.The foam panel inside amps up sound quality while keeping noise from spilling into other rooms. Plus, it comes with mounting hardware and knockout ports for simple, hassle-free wiring.

Compatible speakers include CSS230, C1L, C2L, C2L-T2X, C2L-CP, AWC265, AWC265-T2, AWC280, and AWC280-T2, plus it works with previous Monitor Audio 6-1/2” and 8” in-ceiling speakers too.

In-ceiling Back Box: The CML-BOX is an in-ceiling back box that is compatible with select Monitor Audio Creator Series and All Weather CI in-ceiling speakers. It's sealed design, MDF (medium density fiberboard) construction, and interior foam panel delivers improved audio performance and isolation of sound "bleeding" into other rooms when compared to mounting your compatible in-ceiling speaker without a back box.

Creator Series: CSS230, C3M, C1L, C2L, C2L-T2X, C2L-CP, C3L, C3L-CP, C3L-A, C180
All Weather CI: AWC265, AWC265-T2, AWC280, AWC280-T2
Other: The CML-BOX is also compatible with previous 6.5" and 8" in-ceiling speakers from Monitor Audio.

Note: The CML-BOX provides two size openings for a compatible in-ceiling speaker. A mounting adapter comes pre-installed for compatible 6.5" Monitor Audio in-ceiling speakers. The mounting adapter is removed to accommodate compatible 8" Monitor Audio in-ceiling speakers.

Mounting Options: The included pre-drilled holes, mounting brackets and screws allow the CML-BOX to be mounted in the ceiling between two studs or joists. If you flush-mount the brackets using the pre-drilled holes and screws, the CML-BOX fits in a custom 13.875" opening between two studs. If you offset the mounting brackets using the pre-drilled holes and screws, the WM-BOX can mounting in a custom 14.5" opening between two studs.

Greetings Kevin. Cubic volume is not listed, as the exact measurements of this enclosure. It is designed for their own inwall/inceiling speakers. If you are planning on adding a different brand speaker, you may get the cubic volume by calling Monitor Audio at 800-667-6065.
