very good sound. requires an expensive receiver or separates to get the most out of them considering it's minimum input power of 80 watts. i used them with the new emotiva mr1 basX receiver and the sound was good, although i expected vastly more than the paradigm premiers. they were only slightly better overall and mostly noticeable in music but not as much in movies by comparison

Cons: may need lots of power. not vastly superior to other speakers in its price range

Great Speakers! I was already familiar with the Monitor Audio line having been a dealer for them in the early 2000's and they are still my favorite choice for speakers.

Excellent speaker

After getting some listening time, I really like this speaker. It goes perfectly with my Silver 500s. Our Celtic Woman Home for Christmas concert was thoroughly enjoyable. This is a nice upgrade from the old DT BPs.
Pros: Great fit and finish. Great sound.

I'm really impressed with the clarity of vocals and with the lows that can be hit with this center channel. I have pushed the speaker pretty hard and it continues to be able to handle everything at a high quality level. It's paired up w a Marantz 6015 receiver.
Pros: Nice quality sound Is enough to handle a moderate sized room

The 3-way Design Really Brings Out the Dialogue!

I had purchased the Silver 100 7Gs and thought my existing 3-way center channel speaker would be fine, but the timbre was off just enough to make me focus on the disparity in sound across the front channels. So, I decided to get a matching center speaker. I almost went with the Monitor Audio Apex A40 because of the smaller footprint. I was hesitant because of the 2-way design for the center channel. I measured my space and the C250 has just enough clearance to sit below my TV. I am so glad that I decided upon the 3-way Silver C250! The 3-way design really brings out the dialogue and dramatically improves the front channel surround stage. It is a perfect match with the Silver 100s!
