Build an Audiofrog system
The Audiofrog price tag sets its speakers apart from the run-of-the-mill but buys you astounding car audio. When they demo'd the GS Series at Crutchfield headquarters, I listened, slackjawed, fantasizing about a world where speakers this powerful and clear were installed in my car. I'd pair them with Audiofrog's GS10 tweeters and the optimized GS610C crossover system, but there's always the option of using active crossovers in a three-way system with GS40 4" midrange drivers. The beauty of Audiofrog's a la carte approach is that it imposes no limits on your ultimate car audio vision.
Team up this 6" midrange driver with an Audiofrog tweeter, and you'll hear a new world of music in your ride.
What a woofer
Audiofrog designed the GS60 6" woofer to deliver the midrange details in a custom component system. A responsive polypropylene cone provides high internal damping for smoother frequency response, and Audiofrog uses a 1" copper voice coil to enhance power handling.
Creative installation
Audiofrog was founded by experienced installers, who know all the pitfalls and shortcuts of custom installations. With the included mounting hardware, you'll find custom fabrication of a speaker location much easier. The GS60's removable ring can be painted or upholstered, depending on your vision for your interior. The grilles are ideal for painting as well.

Features
Durability: The Nitrile-Butadiene Rubber (NBR) surround is resistant to ultraviolet rays, temperature extremes, and humidity to add to the speaker's reliability and longevity.
Multi Component Systems: The GS60s are designed to mate with the GS10 tweeters (item number 898GS10, sold separately) using the GS610C passive crossovers (item number 898GS610C, sold separately). They can also be used in an active system with (or without) the GS40 midrange (item number 898GS40, sold separately) and the GS10 tweeters using an electronic crossover.
Note: Audiofrog recommends a low pass crossover set no higher than 3.5 kHz. The minimum recommended slope is 12 dB/octave.
Adapter Rings: The included adapter rings allow installation in numerous factory applications. Without the adapter rings the GS60 fits many standard 6 3/4 locations. They will also fit standard 6 1/2 openings, but the bolt pattern is different, so you'd have to drill new screw holes. The adapter rings include standard 6 1/2 and Ford 6 1/2 bolt patterns, as well as specialized 6 3/4 bolt patterns. Please enter your specific vehicle information to confirm fit.
Power Handling: Audiofrog lists two RMS power figures in the manual; 70 watts RMS in the technical specifications section and 15-100 watts RMS in the recommendations section.

Installed these in the doors of my regular cab truck. Sound and build quality have been excellent. Only compared with a few other speakers, but have used these for months now, and they feel like higher end speakers than the price range they're in.
