Fusion's XS-FLT652SPW marine tower speakers not only look and sound great, they also bring multi-color LED lighting to your boat, with colors that'll match your mood or even keep time with the music. Fusion's optional MS-RGBRC wireless remote controller gives you total control over the LED lighting. You can change the color, brightness, speed, and mode by using the touch controls. This remote can control up to three lighting zones from up to 10 meters from the speaker lighting controller module.

Fusion's entire line of XS Series speakers is designed to deliver outstanding audio performance. Rugged poly cones and aluminum dome tweeters give you outstanding sound at all volume levels. Features

Overview: The Fusion XS Series Marine Wake Tower Speakers feature a 6.5" woofer, with an injection-molded polypropylene cone with a cloth surround, and a bridge-mounted 1" aluminum dome tweeter. Both drivers are mounted in a durable sealed enclosure that's designed to withstand the harsh marine environment. The XS Series wake tower speakers have an IP67 ingress protection rating, making them impervious to salt spray.

Power Handling: The 4Ω Fusion marine speakers can handle 50 watts RMS and have a peak power rating of 200 watts. For best results, the they should be powered by a marine amplifier in the 20-1500 watt RMS range.

RGB Lighting: The XS Series wake tower speakers feature built-in RGB LED lighting mounted behind the tweeter, emitting a smooth lighting effect onto the woofer cone. Individual colors can be selected, via the wiring, or can have thousands of color variations using an optional RGB controller such as the Fusion MS-CRGBWRC or MS-RGBRC control systems (both sold separately).

Wiring: Each speaker includes an attached 28" wire harness, extending from the bottom of the enclosure, with two bare-ended 18-gauge speaker wires and four 20-gauge RGB wires for the powering the LED lighting. The RGB LED lighting requires 10.8-16VDC/150mA for powering.

Is an Amp required or can the run off the head unit?

You will be able to get audio from these as they are very efficient speakers and should work just fine with a headunit. An amp is recommended though to get the most out of them.

Can these speaker be removed from the cans if I decide I don't want them as Tower speakers?

These are not designed to be removed from the cans, Greg. Since you need to add the correct mounting bracket for your install, you could select one like the 2.5" tube mount in the link below and potentially use in an alternate mounting location if you choose. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_9171310100/Fusion-Mounting-Brackets.html
