CURV cone technology and more

Boating is hard on speakers and subs. Heat, humidity, salt, spray, and high-pressure hose-downs at the dock can shorten the life of any speaker that's not built for life on the water. Fusion's Apollo marine subs meet the toughest standards for UV stability and salt/fog resistance.

But just because this sub is tough doesn't mean it's not sensitive. Fusion's CURV cone design, a woven composite fiber that's heat-pressed into a light yet super-strong shape, delivers awesome sound. Plus, brawny voice coils, and sealed componentry ensure impressive performance. Grilles are included, with other options available separately.

Features

Marine Subwoofer: Fusion Apollo series speakers and subwoofers are designed specifically for the marine environment and backed by Fusion's three year warranty. The subwoofer has been tested to ensure it meets or surpasses IP66/67 standards for waterproof and dustproof integrity.

Polypropylene Cone: Polypropylene cone technology incorporated into the subwoofer provides high-fidelity bass reproduction along with exceptional self-damping properties. The polypropylene cone is attached with a heavy-duty Santoprene-rubber surround.

Grille: The Fusion subwoofer includes a removable spoke-style grille.

Compass Safe Distance: The minimum distance the subwoofer should be mounted from a compass to avoid any interference is listed in the manual as approximately 19 feet.

Subwoofer Terminals: The Fusion marine subwoofer features a 2-pin socket that mates with the included six inch speaker harness using DT Series Deutsch Connectors. The other end of the speaker harness features bare-ended wire.

CRGBW LED Illumination: There are multi colored LEDs mounted in the back of the subwoofer grille, to create a glow on the cone. Depending on what combination of wires is connected, the LEDs can light red, green, blue, yellow, magenta, cyan, cool white, or warm white. Similar to the speaker wire, the LED power harnesses use 6-way DT Series Deutsch Connectors. A 12 volt power supply is needed to turn the LEDs on and Fusion recommends a switch and a 3-amp fuse in the power wire. The LEDs can also be controlled using Fusion's optional MS-CRGBW RC remote (item number 917CRGBWRC, sold separately).

Stainless Steel Hardware: The provided mounting screws are stainless steel.
