Q
CAN YOU BUY JUST THE COVER SEPARATELY?
mark  Jun 06, 2023
1 answer
A
You cannot, Mark. Small replacement parts can be hard to find for gear like this, at this low price if you have lost or damaged the rubber cap we would advise grabbing a replacement MS-CBUSB3.5 adapter and replacing the entire assembly. I hope this helps!

Q
Can I use this in my 2020 tundra that has only usb source in order to run my portable DACs (ifi go blu,ifi gryphon,Quedlix 5k) to feed from my iPhone to DAC via 3.5 back into head unit?
jeremy  Jun 06, 2023
1 answer
A
This Fusion MS-CBUSB3.5 is a universal install item that can fit in any vehicle with an aftermarket radio installed, Jeremy. This will not add an Aux input if you only have USB source input and is not designed to be compatible with factory radios, sadly. For use with your iFi go blue you would need the USB to charge and also the AUX in for the 3.5mm unbalanced output on your go blue. IF you do not have an original aux in on your 2020 Tundra you can always link the go blue via Bluetooth as its Qualcomm QCC5100 Bluetooth processing chip has exceptional sound quality and is a good backup plan if you cannot hardwire. I hope this helps!

Q
What diameter hold in my consul is required to mount the cable ?
charles  Dec 09, 2022
1 answer
A
That is a great question, Charles. The Fusion MS-CBUSB3.5 USB extension cable's integrated flush-mount bracket requires a 1.0625" cut-out. Grab the ole 1" hole-saw and you should be good to go here, good buddy.

Q
What size nut holds this in place? I lost the nut and need to replace it.
bradley  Sep 08, 2022
1 answer
A
Greetings Brad, and thank you for your question. I reached out to Garmin/Fusion for the answer. The tech needs to get the information from their product development team. He said to have you call Fusion tech and they would at least send you out the nut at no charge. It might be a while before we get the actual size. Here is their number 623-580-9000.

Q
Can this set up be used for apple car play?
david  Mar 03, 2022
3 answers
A
I don't think so. I don't have an I phone but my wife does. I think you need an "apple" plug to do this or Apple car play ability on the radio your connecting to
dan  Mar 03, 2022
A
Yea, provided your radio supports Apple car play. This is basically a USB / AUX extension cord.
andrew  Mar 03, 2022
A
Not if the receiver doesn't support car play
george  Mar 03, 2022
Q
Will this work with a Mazda CX-7 2007 with Bose system and navigation system radio ?
symon  Jan 12, 2022
1 answer
A
If you have the ports on the back of your stereo and a place to install the other end, yes. This should work. But you'll want to check the back of your stereo for the right ports before you start drilling holes in your dash (or wherever you plan to install this).
andrew  Jan 12, 2022
Q
What if your radio does not have a USB port? Will an additional RCA with USB female cord work though the RCA aux?
lee  Dec 14, 2020
1 answer
A
We have not received any answers from other customers on your question. I would recommend reaching out to an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They should be able to help answer your question.

Q
Will this work on a 2004 dodge durango?
drew  Nov 09, 2020
2 answers
A
It will if you have a receiver with rear audio auxiliary inputs and USB. Given those inputs, it will work on any unit.
kevin  Nov 11, 2020
A
Probably not unless a new car stereo has been installed that supports the USB input. Most support the RCA jacks for Aux audio input.
george  Nov 09, 2020
Q
Will this work on a 2004 dodge durango?
drew  Nov 09, 2020
1 answer
A
This can work in any vehicle that has an aftermarket radio installed which has a rear USB and Aux input. The factory radios in those SUV's don't have those inputs. It is possible to install an aftermarket radio with those inputs. We have advisors that you can reach by calling 1-800-324-9695 who can help give you a personal recommendation on a radio with these abilities as well as any others you want.

Q
I have a stereo that has rca plugs on back that say aux. will this work with just the rca jacks or do I also need to plug the usb plug in also. Is it all three or just one of the two plugs.?
martin  Oct 18, 2020
2 answers
A
RCA alone will work for an aux in. USB is only if you are using it as a USB extension cord. RCA alone will only convey from the headphone jack, not an attached USB device
craig  Oct 18, 2020
A
Yes they all need to be plugged in The rca jacks are audio and usb is for connecting your phone or devices via usb
timothy  Oct 18, 2020
Q
If I had a aux cable leading into it, Could I plug in a usb wireless headset into the USB slot and listen to it?
board  Aug 01, 2020
2 answers
A
I don't think so. The USB connects to the head unit and appears to be only for files. There is no connection between USB and the phono plugs or headphone jack. The Fusion head units support Bluetooth, but probably only as an input.
craig  Aug 04, 2020
A
Not sure,it might work but your head unit is not a computer
timothy  Aug 01, 2020
Q
Will this work on a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer?
woody  Nov 05, 2019
1 answer
A
This can be used to add a USB/Aux port to any aftermarket radio. IT requires a cutout of 1.0625" to mount it.
thomas  Nov 14, 2019 (Staff)
Q
Would this work to add a headphone jack by connecting to rca output? Im adding a radio to a skid steer and would like the option of headphones vs speakers only.
monty  Sep 22, 2019
1 answer
A
Not exactly. You would need an RCA or analog INPUT on the radio in order to use that adapter. The RCA preamp outputs that many radios have on the back would not work. You can connect with one of our friendly product advisors to brainstorm a better solution here: https://www.crutchfield.com/I-rET1c290/S-SUliZgSTXG7/support/ContactUs.aspx

Q
Will this work to replace a cigarette lighter in a 2004 Yukon?
mary jo  Jun 20, 2019
1 answer
A
It could likely fit in the hole in the dash for the cigarette lighter, but it requires a stereo that will receive the other RCA and USB connection.
troy  Jun 28, 2019
Q
Is the cap removable?
katelyn  May 18, 2019
4 answers
A
It is removable.
jeff  May 22, 2019
A
Yes the cap flips up. But used the USB one time and it shorted out. Yes it was installed correctly. I will try another one to check, maybe it was just a bad one.
frank  May 20, 2019
A
It's attached by a plastic ring and the band you see in photo...its a one piece molded unit. You could remove it if you wanted. It looks like it's designed for mounting outside the vehicle or in an open top Jeep so it's weather tight. It works very well and is well made.
thomas  May 18, 2019
A
Yes. You can remove it before installation without damaging it but if it is already installed you can cut it off.
jonathan  May 18, 2019
Q
This might sound off the wall, but does anyone know? Can you use this to connect a subwoofer to a Nintendo Switch dock? Can someone find out for me?
skrapyroc  May 07, 2019

A
That's a pretty detailed question that will take some research. I would recommend reaching out to an Advisor by chat or by phone, (1-800-324-9695). They should be able to help answer your question.

Q
Can I connect my phone to my tv using this. Meaning play on phone and watch on tv?
deitra  Apr 09, 2019

A
No, this is to connect audio from your phone to you stereo
david  Apr 09, 2019
A
No you cannot. This is to add a USB port to your radio.
david  Apr 09, 2019
A
No, there isn't a Video cable. You would have sound though.
todd  Apr 09, 2019
Q
Will this charge the phone also?
robert  Jan 05, 2019
4 answers
A
It has charged other USB devices but I have never tested it with the phone. I would assume so.
stephen  Jan 07, 2019
A
Probably - it depends on what you connect it to. If you use this accessory with a Fusion Apollo RA770, it will supply 5v power, at enough amperage to charge most phones, though not rapidly. I suspect that the RA770's USB port is limited to 15W as it didn't really do much for my wife's iPad. Can't speak to how it behaves with other head units.
david  Jan 06, 2019
A
It does, not super fast (at least from golf cart) but it does charge
kevin  Jan 05, 2019
A
Yes. It's like a extension cord for the usb.
mike  Jan 05, 2019
Q
Will this charge the phone also?
robert  Jan 05, 2019
4 answers
A
Yes it does.
rodney  Jan 05, 2019
A
This only extends the usb. If you're plugging it into something that will provide power, then yes.
travis  Jan 05, 2019
A
It will depend on your head unit. I think most USB ports on newer head units do supply power along with data connection. The Fusion MS-CBUSB3.5 doesn't deliver the power, the stereo would. Maybe look up the specs on your head unit and see if the rear USB ports also supply power.
david  Jan 05, 2019
A
Yes, it will!
jose  Jan 05, 2019
Q
Will this work in my 07 mustang to play music from my iPhone 8 Plus? Already have a connection with ear phone jack thing but no way to hook up any thing to it wrong end
kim  Jul 18, 2018
2 answers
A
Kim, this is made specifically for the Fusion series of Marine stereos. It will not work with stock stereo receivers. Troy
troy  Jul 20, 2018
A
Yes. It will work with an 8plus. All you need is your charging cord. I have it as a back up or to use with a source that doesn't have Bluetooth. My fusion stereo has Bluetooth built in to it, so I just use that normally.
