Features

True Marine: Fusion describes these speakers as True Marine Accredited, meaning they are designed specifically for the marine environment and backed by Fusion's 3 year warranty. The speakers are tested to ensure they meet or surpass IP65 standards (waterproof and dustproof on the front of the speakers).

Mounting: Unlike most marine speakers, the FM-F77RWs are designed to mount in a round cutout using three rotating cam-locks. The cam-locks rotate into place when you start tightening the mounting screws, then clamp over the ceiling/wall material to securely hold the speaker. The panel the speaker mounts to must be at least ⅛" thick, and less than 1" thick. Each speaker requires a round opening, approximately 6⅜" diameter, and a minimum mounting depth of 3¼". The cams extend just over ¼" beyond the speaker frame.

Compass Safe Distance: The minimum distance the speakers should be mounted from a compass to avoid any interference is listed in the manual. (Approximately 8' from the sides and 9½' from the front and rear of the speakers.)

Speaker Terminals: Each speaker has a seven inch length of speaker wire attached, terminated with male quick slides (0.25" positive and 0.187" negative).

Enclosure: If the speakers are mounted in an enclosure, Fusion recommends 8 liters (0.28 ft³) sealed. An enclosure is not necessary, the speakers will operate in free-air.

Power Handling: Fusion lists two RMS power figures in the manual; RMS Power of 50 watts, and a Recommended Amplifier Power range of 20-150 watts RMS per channel.

Woofer Size: Fusion calls this speaker a 7.7", which is similar to its frame size. However, the diameter of the woofer cone is approximately 4½".
