Great product

I put this isolation pad under a Klipsch SPL-120, in a giant cabinet... I have a large built-in cabinet and this isolation pad eliminates all unwanted vibration. The bass still thumps like crazy from the sub. The sub is hidden in the cabinet and sounds incredible. 5 stars.

Good Vibes, Dude
Dennis from Arlington, TX on 11/21/2024
Honestly, I can't say there is a big improvement on sound quality or unwanted vibrations and rattles are eliminated. However, the Klipsch SPL-120 has a tighter feel in lower bass notes as I listened to the same before-isolation-pad movie scenes and music. Most importantly, there is enough taming of undesirable "effects" that my wife has canceled divorce proceedings. The 5.1 surround sub resides on the second floor game room and thus difficult to address dancing wall hangings and quivering blinds. But, the Sub-Dude helped and that's good enough for me. As a side note, I am a DIY guy and explored building an isolation pad myself. A simple rectangle of MDF, a slightly smaller rectangle of dense acoustic foam, some glue, some paint and a couple of hours of work. It soon became obvious it would not be worth the effort. The Sub-Dude is a good value...and what great product name! I'm not sending it back... And Crutchfield rocks.
Pros: Well made; heavy materials-not cheap stuff; helpful on a problematic second floor 5.1 system; clever name (I'm a dad); styling blends with the system
Cons: not a silver bullet, but I did not expect miracles

Low Price With A Big Impact
Michael from Sugar Land, TX on 8/23/2024
I have bought so much stereo equipment in my life but have never been as surprised and pleased before. Imagine buying a piece of gear this is dirt cheap compared to all your other equipment and it has an obvious positive impact on the sound? The bass is tightened up and no more just a low frequency shaking everything. It actually makes it sound like a bass.
Pros: Improves the sound of your stereo for very little cost. Talk about a no brainer.

Unbelievable but this actually does help! It did have a couple of positive effect on my Polk Monitor XT12 subwoofer. Most noticeable was the vast improvement regarding the intended path of sound at a greater distance. The other thing I noticed (although more subtle), is it did seem to help make the bass tighter and more refined.
Pros: Definitely seems to clean up the sound Quality seems good Looks Price

Fits perfect under SPL-150
Nestor from HAYWARD, CA on 4/21/2023
Fit perfectly under a Klipsch SPL-150 sub, allows it to slide on floor when needed. Replaced an IsoAcoustics isolation stand that I moved to another sub. There was a subtle performance improvement, so considering the comparable price between the two, this is a good purchase. However, since I can slide the sub on the floor, that is a huge improvement over the IsoAcoustics stand.

Amazing performance!
Luis from Cabo Rojo, PR on 3/31/2023
What a difference! Works way better than expected! Completely solved my particular resonance problem. I have a Bose Sub 1 which I recently bought from a friend. I installed it in the living room at the second floor of a two story concrete house. Even at low volume levels, the whole concrete floor badly resonated at certain low frequencies, completely degrading the sound quality of my system. The vibrations were so annoying that I decided to remove and sell the subwoofer. Luckily I learned about the Auralex SubDude HT. After an easy installation, the problem is absolutely solved. Now the bass is powerful, clear and focused. All resonance of the whole concrete floor simply disappeared! Now I'm enjoying my music collection again, with much more accurate and precise bass. I was never expecting such an amazing difference. Thank you.
Pros: Easy to install, rugged design. Completely solved my problem.

Nice isolation pad
Jim from Schaumburg, IL on 3/16/2023
I have JBL L-77 and B&W 601 speakers stacked on top of a JBL PSW 1000 subwoofer, sitting on a carpeted floor. I put an Auralex SubDude-HT pad under the subwoofer. I already had Sorbothane isolation pucks between the speakers. The low frequencies were cleaner with the pad, but the volume of the bass seemed to be a little lower. I tried different setting and lowering the crossover frequency and increasing the volume of the subwoofer (just a little) gave me the best results. I am very pleased with the improvements after I made the adjustments.
Pros: Works, but you may have to tweak your set up. Very reasonable price.

Excellent Accessory
John from North Texas on 10/27/2022
I bought this SubDude to serve as a base for my second SVS subwoofer, an SVS SB2000 Pro needing to be placed on carpet. SVS sells its own decoupling feet, but the screws were incompatible with the SVS SB2000, so the SubDude is the best and one of the only good solutions. I have two subs in my home theater, both placed on SubDudes. While I'm convinced the SubDudes make bass tighter and smoother, I tested my ears with my Marantz receiver programmed with Audyssey XT 32 (which contours all nine speakers and TWO subs). Audyssey didn't seem to like my subs as well without the SubDudes, making really substantial changes to the equalizer contours below 80 hertz, and decreasing the subs' volume by several decibels, presumably because of booming, much muddier bass. With the SubDudes in place, Audyssey flattened the equalizer curves and seemed to love my lowered crossovers. Bass was clear, tight, musical and the two sub setup cancelled room nodes. The LFE channel was awesome and made me go back through the room to fix rattles. And, by the way, I have a large Def Tech center channel with a small, built-in subwoofer in it, placed on an audio cabinet under the TV-great with a SubDude. The SubDude does everything it's supposed to do. Unlike some of the more "mystical and magical" audio accessories claiming improvements you might never hear, these SubDudes are audibly effective and definitely worth the money. As always, ordering through Crutchfield was easy and delivery was

Eliminates the buzz
Jason from FRANKLIN, WI on 1/4/2021
I've got a Klipsch SPL-120 sub in my 5.1 setup in our family room. Very happy with the subs performance when listening to music or general TV. The bass is tight, clean and loads of it. However any extended, or exceptionally deep, bass sequence in a movie would result in the walls vibrating and that annoying buzz from anything that was hung on the walls. After some looking around I settled on this and can say that the buzz is gone but the bass is still there. Super happy with the purchase and would recommend to someone with that wall buzz issue.

Superb Isolation & Perfomance! SubDude & Crutchfield Are Top Notch!!
Katie from Aurora, IL on 11/21/2020
Works as advertised, eliminated all subwoofer vibration & muddiness, giving a tight melodic punch. Sub does not move on the platform. Not using any other isolation feet. No apartment neighbors hear the sub at all, even when other sound penetrates walls. Quality materials, nice look. Originally used with a big old Cerwin Vega 12" sub, so bought the bigger platform. Switched to a compact SVS SB2000 12" sub, so the platform is a bit big for the SVS, but the great performance is not impacted. The exposed black velour top of the SubDude does easily get dusty, but it's a very minor drawback to a stellar product. Worth the money IMHO. BTW, Crutchfield sales, shipping & customer service is absolutely top notch!!
Pros: * Perfect isolation, no vibration. * Quality materials, nice looking.

Wouldn't run the sub without it!
Derek from FRISCO, TX on 8/12/2020
It is working has advertised. I ordered it along with a SVS SB-3000. It is sitting upstairs on a hardwood floor so I needed something to help cut down the strange harmonics with shaking walls. My advisor Drew recommended it because it was not much more than the SVS rubber accessory feet. It still allows the floor to shake some during movies however my wife hasn't complained about pictures vibrating on the walls so it's working perfectly.

Jim from Byrnes Mill, MO on 2/17/2018
I cannot believe the sonic difference these things made in my rig. We have a concrete basement floor with killer padding and carpet, but I've broken at least a dozen wine glasses by bouncing them out of the glass racks... on the other side of the basement. I run a Yamaha RX-A2060 with an Emotiva seven channel amp on the mains, with a pair of Klipsch Sub 12's and three Polk Monitor 70 Series II for L/R/C. The Atmos speakers are driven by the AVR. The bottom is noticeably tighter, punchier and seems to be more effortless. In fact, I reduced the gain on both subs a bit. Any coloration and muddyness have disappeared, as well. Best money I have ever spent on my theater system at this price point, and I'll be ordering two more for my studio, too.
