SiriusXM Satellite Radio Interface Kit: The Vais Technology SL3sat-T allows you to add SiriusXM Satellite Radio to your Toyota or Scion vehicle's factory radio. The SL3sat-T provides connection between a SiriusXM SXV300 Tuner (220SXV300, sold separately) and your Toyota or Scion factory radio.

Note: A SiriusXM subscription is also required to receive satellite radio programming from SiriusXM.

Retains Factory Features: The Vais Technology SL3sat-T allows you to keep all factory installed components (such as 6-disc CD changer, CD/DVD changer, Rear Seat Entertainment System, etc).

SAT & CD-Changer Modes: When you connect the SL3sat-T to the audio system, your Toyota factory radio recognizes it as an additional CD/MD changer or as a SAT radio receiver. Control & Text features depend on how your Toyota or Scion model vehicle and how the factory recognizes this interface.

  • Controls: The Vais Technology SL3sat-T allows you to search & select SiriusXM Satellite Radio stations for playback through your vehicle's factory radio. 
    • Tuning: You can use the tuning knob of your factory radio for quick browsing through SiriusXM's wide channel selection, or browse by category if you prefer (SAT-mode only).
    • Presets: You are able to preset 18 of your favorite SiriusXM Satellite Radio stations for easy and quick selection (SAT-mode only).
    • Steering Wheel Control: You can also control basic SiriusXM Satellite Radio functions through your vehicle's steering wheel controls.
  • Text Information: Channel and Song information will be displayed on your factory radio's LCD or Navigation screen (SAT-mode or CD/MD Changer mode).
Note: The SL3sat-T interface requires programming to set the proper emulation mode for your model vehicle and type of factory radio.

Level Adjustment: You can adjust the input sound level of the SL3sat-T and the SXV300 satellite receiver (sold separately). The sound level adjustment allows you to balance the volume control with other sources of your factory radio (such as CD player, FM radio, etc), and eliminates possible distortions caused by high-input levels.

Electronic Ground Noise Isolator: A built-in electronic ground noise isolator to eliminates unwanted car engine noise.

Y-Harness: The included 20-pin audio Y-harness plugs in between your vehicle's factory radio and the Vais Technology SL3sat-T interface.

I bought this SL3sat-T along with a SXV300 tuner at Crutchfield. The sound is great, but I am not able to tune in all of my normal SiriusXM Channels. I can only tune up to channel 255, and one of my favorite channels is 311. What did I do wrong? I have tried refreshing the signal from SiriusXM to the radio, but still the same.

I have a different SiriusXM receiver in my truck, and 311 is one of my favorites too (Yacht Rock!). I don't have the internet option and I am able to get channel 311 and higher on that receiver, a Kenwood. I'm looking at this receiver for our van. I hope the channel availability is not limited.

Mine works for my (narrow) purposes, which are channels 2 to 132, SiriusXM hits to Triumph talk, respectively. Being in what is considered rural area, I'm satellite dependent. There's nothing sat-radio-dedicated on the ground, and cell tower signals can fade behind a rock formation. Looking at SXM's lineup, some channels are online only, some sat & online, and some just sat. The farthest RH column in the listings shows the status of any given channel. Maybe you're up against some limitations in the delivery by SXM. Or so my research indicates.

Satellite broadcast only includes up to channel 299. Higher channels are internet (online) only. I know this is a bummer.

I recently got a 2012 Toyota Sequoia with JBL, Nav, and XM. I already own a SiriusXM SXV300 tuner from a previous vehicle. I assume the Sequoia radio is the same as that in the Tundra (Platinum). Can I use the sl3sat-t kit so that I can use my SiriusXM tuner (instead of the onboard XM tuner)? I understand that if it worked, would use a different emulation than the existing SAT, but I want to make sure this could work at all. Thank you.

You will want to contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat to discuss compatibility with your factory system. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and see if this will integrate. If it does not, then they will also be able to discuss other options with you.
