Features
Overview: The Flash Link Updater allows you to update the firmware on your Fortin bypass module and remote starter, including vehicle-specific firmware. The unit works with modules that have a bar code and a Service Number stamped on the label. You will need a PC running the Windows operating system and an Internet connection. A 4' USB cable and data-link cable are supplied.
Operating Systems: The updater works with a PC with Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, XP, 2000, or Windows 98. Flashlink Manager software is required to update the firmware.
Simple Connections: There are only two connections on the Flash Link Updater. A Type B USB port lets you connect the Updater to your computer via the supplied USB cable. A 4-pin connector is provided for connecting the bypass module/remote starter using the provided data-link cable.
LED Indicators: Three LEDs are provided on the top of the Updater to indicate the status:
- Red LED: Computer is connected
- Green LED: Module is connected
- Blue LED: Update is in progress
Customization: With the Flash Link Updater, you can update your bypass module and remote starter with the latest software available. With a simple point and click, you can easily enable or disable the following features:
